A Woeful Start For Jacobson

It was only yesterday when Martin Jacobson posted a status update on his Facebook page that he was here in Copenhagen for the Swedish Championships. Unfortunately for Jacobson he is going to have to pull some special magic out of his top hat if he is going to be the Swede that wins this championship after an appalling start.

Igor Pihela limped into the pot and John Eames did the same before Jacobson raised to 550 from the cutoff. Both Pihela and Eames made the call and the three of them found themselves staring at a flop of {K-Spades} {Q-Spades} {10-Clubs} which was checked through. On the turn the dealer handed them the {5-Clubs} and Jacobson bet 900 when checked to. Pihela made the call, Eames got out of the way and we saw the final card of {A-Clubs}.

There was around 3,300 in the pot when Pihela bet 10,000! Jacobson made the call and Pihela showed down {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} for the flush and Jacobson mucked his hand.

Martin Jacobson ~ 1,200
