Marchese Doubles Up Isabelle Mercier

Tom Marchese has lost half of his stack in the first level and the majority of it has headed the way of Isabelle Mercier. The pair just clashed, in your classic all-in pre flop coin flip situation, and Mercier came out on top.

Isabelle Mercier{A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}
Tom Marchese{Q-} {Q-}

Board: {8-Spades} {4-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}

"I folded pocket fours," cried Olivier Douce.

We don't think Mercier or Marchese cared.

Toth All-In; Kabrhel Put to the Test

We joined the action at the turn and the board was showing {Q-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {5-Spades}. The players in the hand were Day 1a chip leader Martin Kabrhel, in the hijack seat, and Team PokerStars Pro Richard Toth, in the cutoff. Kabrhel checked, Toth bet 11,500 and Kabrhel made the call. The final card was the {7-Hearts} and Toth moved all-in when checked to. Kabrhel, who hadn't stopped staring at Toth throughout the whole hand, had a little bit of think time before mucking his cards.

Andress Eliminates Varlashin

Another all-in pre flop flip, this time involving Vladislav Varlashin and John Andress.

Andress{A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}
Varlashin{9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}

Board: {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}

Andress moved up to 100,000 and Varlashin moved out of the building.

Here Comes Johnny!

Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden has just found his much needed double up. He open shoved for 17,600 in the cutoff and Tudor Grangure called on the button.

Lodden{A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Grangure{6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}

Board: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}

The queen on the flop doubling up Lodden.

Joep van den Bijgaart Eliminated By Our New Chip Leader

We joined the action with a pair of hole cards staring at the ceiling and two stacks in the middle of the table.

Malte Moennig{A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}
Joep van den Bijgaart{J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

Board: {Q-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}

The elimination of van den Bijgaart means that the PokerStars qualifier Malte Moennig is our new chip leader with 220,000 chips.

Eames Puts Yury Kerzhapkin All-In

Yury Kerzhapkin raised to 1,600 in middle position, John Eames made it 3,500 in the small blind and Kerzhapkin called. The flop was {8-Clubs} {6-Spades} {3-Spades} and Eames led for 3,300 and Kerzhapkin made the call. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and both players checked and we saw the {9-Spades} on the river. Eames thought for a while before putting Kerzhapkin all-in and he quickly folded.
