Chip Leader Pot: Mohsin Charania v Nick Yunis

Mohsin Charania and Nick Yunis have just clashed in the biggest pot of the tournament, so far, and the end result was a new chip leader!

Ben Vinson raised to 3,500 in first position, Mohsin Charania three-bet to 8,000 a few seats to his left, Nick Yunis four-bet to 18,000, Vinson stepped aside, Charania five-bet to 31,000 and Yunis had a decision to make. Charania had 189,000 behind and Yunis moved what looked like a little over 100k into the middle. Before you knew it all of the chips were in and we had a huge showdown.

Charania{A-Spades} {A-Hearts}
Yunis{A-Clubs} {10-Spades}

Board: {8-Spades} {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {J-Spades}

Yunis had gifted 380,000 chips to Charania and had gone from hero to virtually zero, holding just 18,000 chips.

Geshkenbein Gone

EPT Snowfest champion Vladimir Geshkenbein is out after a three-way pre flop all-in encounter.

There was a late position raise before Guillaume Darcourt shoved from the button and Geshkenbein re-shoved from the blinds. The original raiser called both all-ins with his {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, ahead of both opponents' hands and he also had them both covered.

Darcourt tabled {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Geshkenbein opened {a-}{q-}.

The board ran out {7-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} to make the Frenchman a set of fives for a triple up. The third player took the side pot as Geshkenbein was eliminated.

Sands In Front

David "Doc" Sands is now over 300,000 in chips thanks to a nice little river card that gave him the winning hand against Jose Nadal.

We picked up the action on the {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts} board as Sands fired a bet of 9,400. Nadal made the call and the river card produced the {Q-Spades}. Sands bet 14,700 and Nadal snap-called. Sands tabled the {Q-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a rivered pair of queens and Nadal mucked his hand.

Sands is now up to 330,000 while Nadal was left with a face that said, "What the heck just happened to me?"
