Chidwick With The Check-Raise

Stephen Chidwick raised to 6,000 in early position, Jason Wheeler called in mid-position, Ben Vinson called on the button and Chidwick also called, making it three-way to the flop.

Flop: {Q-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {2-Clubs}

Chidwick checked, Wheeler bet 21,000, Vinson folded, Chidwick check-raised to 45,000 and Wheeler released his hand.

Good Game, Gaelle

Gaelle Baumann was very short on the bubble and survived an all-in. She still had work to do and was in need of another double up. She tried but got into a dominated situation and was eliminated.

She three-bet all-in from the small blind with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} after Vasili Firsau had opened from the hijack. Firsau called with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and the board ran a safe, for him, {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Huge Double Up For Vinson

Ben Vinson made up the small change in the small blind, but Geert-Jan Potijk raised to 16,000 in the big blind. Vinson decided to call and the pair shared a flop.

Flop: {A-Hearts} {10-Spades} {5-Clubs}

Vinson check-called a 36,000 Potjik bet.

Turn: {7-Clubs}

We didn't see the action on the turn but, "there were fireworks," said Jason Wheeler. When the fireworks ended all of the chips were in the middle and the dealer was asking them both to reveal their hands.

Vinson{A-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}
Potijk{A-Spades} {5-Diamonds}

So two pair versus two pair and after the {6-Hearts} on the river Vinson doubled up.

(Thanks to Jason Wheeler for the detail up to the turn)

Pierre Neuville Has Been Eliminated

Team PokerStars Pro Pierre Neuville raised to 15,000 in early position and Vadzim Markushevski three-bet on the button. Neuville moved all-in, Markushevski called and we had a showdown.

Markushevski{A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}
Neuville{K-Spades} {Q-Clubs}

Board: {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} {7-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}

So Neuville was out, but would he hand his board game to Markushevski in true Barry Greenstein style (Neuville has created his own poker board game). In the end Neuville decided to keep hold of his game and Markushevski will have to settle for the real thing.

Grangure Eliminates Baburin

We joined the action on a flop of {10-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades} and the two players involved in the pot were Sergey Baburin and Tudor Grangure, and they were both all-in.

Grangure{5-Hearts} {4-Hearts}
Baburin{K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}

So Grangure had flopped trips and that soon became a full house with consecutive treys on the turn {3-Hearts} and river {3-Diamonds} eliminating Baburin.

Castelluccio Rivers Set Against Seidel

Erik Seidel (Day 2)
Erik Seidel (Day 2)

Action folded to Sergio Castelluccio on the button and he raised with Erik Seidel calling from the big blind. The flop went check, check after the {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} fell and then Seidel fired 16,000 on the {9-Spades} turn. Castelluccio called.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Seidel bet 33,000. Castelluccio thought for a little bit, then put in a raise to 91,000. It was Seidel's turn to tank. He thought for a couple minutes mulling things over and then called.

Castelluccio turned over the {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Seidel mucked his hand, dropping back below 100,000 in chips. Castelluccio moved up to 850,000 and is still in the chip lead.
