Big Preflop Raise from Seiver

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Action folded to Scott Seiver in the small blind and he raised to 17,000. The entire table was drawn to attention when they saw how large Seiver had raised, especially Vanessa Selbst in the big blind. After some thought, Selbst called.

The two players then checked the action on each street as the board ran out {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and went to a showdown. Seiver showed the {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a pair of eights, but lost to the {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for Selbst as she hit a pair of aces.

Kagawa Doubles

We missed the hand, but Masa Kagawa doubled up with pocket aces through Dan Smith. Smith was crushed in the pot and knocked all the way down to just 20,000 in chips. Kagawa doubled to 455,000.

Gurtovoy Picks One Up

From under the gun, Govert Metaal raised to 7,000. Anatoly Gurtovoy called from the cutoff seat, Mike "Timex" McDonald called from the button, Tobias Reinkemeier called from the small blind and Dan Shak called from the big blind.

The flop came down {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and action checked to Gurtovoy. He bet 20,000 and only Reinkemeier called.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and Reinkemeier checked. Gurtovoy bet 30,000 and won the pot.

Perkins Going for Second Bullet

Bill Perkins has been eliminated. When we caught up with the action, there was a massive pot in the middle of the table between Perkins and Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel. The board read {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Perkins check-called all in. Duhamel tabled the {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for trip kings and Perkins mucked his hand.

Almost immediately, Perkins found the VIP Host and asked how to rebuy. He had another €100,000 wired over and will be back in this thing shortly.
