Lorenzo Sabato and Theo Jorgensen are the two early pace setters and both have a pedigree about them
Team PokerStars Pro Jorgensen is a becoming a legend of the game in Europe. Away from the tournament circuit he crushes high-stakes PLO, and he's not doing a bad job today either.
Then there's Lorenzo Sabato. He won the Estrellas Grand Final yesterday for a cool, round €200,000. The tournament staff told us he eliminated a player on the first hand of the day with a sevens versus aces match-up (no more details than that, I'm afraid), and shortly before the break he took out another to soar to 90,000 chips. He's playing the rush!

Players are now on their first 15-minute break of the day.
A valuable contact in the TV truck, Chris Cohen, has bought us some information from the feature table.
Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden ran a full house into the quads of Phillippe Belley to continue his bad start to the day.

Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies who finished fourth in the €50,000 Super High Roller event yesterday is also in the field going for another big cash here in Barcelona.
He went two-way into the flop and the board ran
. The player on the button bet 1,000 and Sahamies made the call.
Both players checked
on the turn and the player on the button lead for 2,600 on the
river. Sahamies called and showed

In a three-way pot, it was checked across to Grand Final runner-up Lucille Cailly who bet 1,625 on a flop of

and former EPT Vilamoura winner Toby Lewis was the only caller.
On the
Lewis checked again and Cailly bet 2,825 but found herself being check-raised to the tune of 6,550. The Frenchwoman took a couple of minutes before making the call to see the
on the river.
Lewis now made a deceptively small bet of just 6,000 putting Cailly back into the tank. After about four minutes, she flicked in the call but could only tap the table when Lewis flipped
for the nuts.

From under the gun, Tristan Wade raised to 300. Action folded all the way around to Sergio Aido Espina in the big blind and he tossed in the call to take the

flop.
On the flop, Espina led for 400. Wade called and the
paired the board on the turn. Espina checked and Wade fired 650. Espina made the call.
The
completed the board on the river and Espina checked. Wade tossed in a bet of 1,125 and Espina folded. Wade took the pot and moved to 38,500 in chips.
Wade most famously won a World Series of Poker Europe gold bracelet last year in the €3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout. His best result on the European Poker Tour came that same year in January when he took 169th in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event for $17,500, although he's never actually cashed in an EPT event on European soil.

With 850 in the pot and a board reading

, Steve O'Dwyer bet 525 from the big blind and Robertas Vaitkevicius called from the hijack. The
river saw O'Dwyer pause for a moment, and then toss out a bet of 1,100. Vaitkevicius thought for the briefest of moments before conceding the hand.
Even with that win, O'Dwyer is still down a bit from the starting stack of 30,000.
