A Bust Over Here, A Bust Over There

We've had a flurry of bust-outs over the last ten minutes. Ben Jackson and Regis Burlot, both British players, busted within seconds of each other.

Burlot was the first to go. He three-bet all his chips with {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} from the hijack after Jonathan Karamalikis opened from the seat in front of him. The latter made a quick call with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} and the board ran {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{q-Spades} to make the Aussie a full house.

Jackson was sat on the next table and open shoved for around 118,000 from late position, and was called by Ibon Merino in the next seat. Jackson's {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} failed to overcome the Spaniards {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} through the {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board.

"What a Turn. Wow."

We're not sure of the action, but we do know a massive pot was just created between Kevin Weiland and Mikolaj Zawadzki. The former was all in for around 600,000 with {A-Spades}{K-Spades} on a {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} flop only to be up against the {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} of Zawadzki.

A shell-shocked Weiland watched as the {2-Hearts} river put an end to his tournament and gave his opponent the massive pot. "What a turn. Wow," Zawadzki said as he stacked the pot.

Kings Good for Fernandez

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Marcos Fernandez

Italian Mauro Canavese bet 55,000 from the small blind on the board reading {3-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} and Marcos Fernandez raised to 135,000 on the button. Canavese called and the dealer opened the {2-Clubs} on the river. Both players checked and Fernandez showed {K-Hearts} {9-Spades} for a pair of kings which was enough to collect the pot as Canavese mucked his hand.

Hernandez vs. Karamalikis

Olvedo Heinze raised to 24,000 from the hijack only to have Elias Gutierrez Hernandez three-bet to 55,000 from the cutoff. Jonathan Karamalikis then four-bet to 128,000 from the button, Heinze folded, and Hernandez made a long call.

The {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} saw Hernandez check-called a bet of 75,000 before both players checked the {K-Diamonds} turn. When the {10-Clubs} was put out on the river, Hernandez fired out 180,000 and Karamalikis snap-folded. Hernandez then showed {K-Spades}{10-Spades} before stacking the pot.

Romanello Up, Gulyy Out in the Cold

Roberto Romanello is on the up today after beating Konstantin Streletskiy in a pot. He raised to 20,000 from under the gun and called with his Lithuanian opponent three-bet to 60,000 from the small blind.

The flop fell {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Streletskiy continued for 65,000. Call. The {4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} turn and river were checked through and Streletskiy opened {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. It was no good though as Romanello tabled {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

As this hand was happening Yuri Gully was being eliminated on the neighbouring table. He ran pocket queens into the pocket aces of Ugnius Simelionis. Ouch.

Lindberg Boosts

We joined the action with around 127,000 already in the pot, {8-Clubs} {6-Spades} {5-Diamonds} on the board and two players, Finland's Joni Jouhkimainen in the hijack position and Bjorn Lindberg from Swedend in the cutoff seat with cards in their hands.

Both players checked the flop and the dealer opened {10-Spades} on the turn. Jouhkimainen lead for 35,000 and Lindberg made the call. Lindberg took over on the {K-Diamonds} river firing 100,000 and Jouhkimainen folded his hand.

Three-Way Action Results in Nowak's Elimination

Action folded around to Anaras Alekberovas in the cutoff and he moved all in for 146,000. Waldemar Nowak made the call from the big blind, leaving himself just 9,000 behind, as did Guy Thomas in the small blind, and it was three-handed to the {8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop.

Thomas led out, Nowak called off his last 9,000, and the hands were turned up:

Showdown
Nowak: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Thomas: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Alekberovas: {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Nowak was out in front with his kings, but the {9-Spades} turn gave both his opponents straight draws. Wouldn't you know it, the {7-Diamonds} spiked on the turn to complete the said draws and leave Nowak shaking his head. Thomas collected the small side pot, which eliminated Nowak, while Alekberovas triple up with the Main.
