Juanda vs. Sinel

John Juanda raised to 26,000 from the button and Anton Sinel opted to defended from the big blind. The {2-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{7-Spades} brought two checks from the player, while the {4-Clubs} turn saw Sinel fired out 40,000. Juanda made the call and then bet 95,000 after Sinel checked the {K-Hearts} river. The Romanian thought for a brief moment and then relinquished his cards.

Vieira Tries to Destroy Mars

Action folded around to Jean-Jacques Mars in the hijack and he moved all in for right around 100,000. Joao Vieira then three-bet all in over the top for around 260,000 from the button, which inspired both blinds to fold.

Showdown
Mars: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Vierira: {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

Mars held the dominant pair and was never in much danger as the board ran out {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

From Bustouts to Double Ups

Lucille Cailly's first bad day in a while on the EPT
Lucille Cailly's first bad day in a while on the EPT

It seemed that all the all ins in the last level resulted in a bust out, not so this level.

First up we witnessed Roberto Romanello double-up Konstantin Streletskiy. The latter was down to 140,000 when he shoved from the hijack with {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Romanello was the only caller with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} from the small blind and the board ran {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to make the Russian two-pair.

We missed all of the action in the next double-up, but it was more bad news for Lucille Cailly. Her ace-nine was no match for Joni Petteri Jouhkimainen's {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} on a {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Spades} board.

Zaichenko Set Up by Casals

Andrey Zaichenko was down to just 100,000 when he got it all in preflop with {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} and was way out in front of the {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} of [Removed:273]. Unfortunately for Zaichenko, the {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop gave Casals a set and the lead.

Neither the {J-Clubs} turn nor {J-Hearts} river helped Zaichenko and the disappointed Russian rapped the table before heading to the payout desk.

Lindberg Falls to Joentausta's Aces

With 325,000 in the pot and a board reading {J-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, Bjorn Lindberg moved all in from middle position for 340,000 and was snap-called by Aku Joentausta, who if you recall finished as the Day 1a chip leader.

Showdown
Joentausta: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Lindberg: {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Lindberg had turned a pair to go with his flush draw, but he'd need even more help on the river to stay alive. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {9-Spades}, a blank for Lindberg.

Bjorn Gives Saveikis a Double Up

Sweden's Bjorn Lindberg went all-in on the button with the board reading {9-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {6-Hearts} and Algirdas Saveikis from Lithuania snap-called. However, Saveikis' stack was much smaller as he had around 350,000 while Lindberg had over 600,000.

Showdown
Saveikis: {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts}
Lindberg: {9-Clubs} {3-Clubs}

Swede showed a pair of nines, but Saveikis' aces were in the lead. The {2-Clubs} also gave Lindberg a gut-shot straight draw, but {8-Spades} on the river wasn't what the Swede needed and Saveikis' aces held giving him a double up.
