Joentausta Tops Advancing 600 for Day 2

Today marks the second day of the 2012 PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Barcelona Main Event. It's the day both sets of survivors from the two starting flights join as one field in the common quest of moving towards the title.

The final numbers for the event have yet to be tallied, but once received, the total field size, prize pool and payouts will all be posted. What we can tell you is that a whopping 600 players have advanced to Day 2 and topping the pack is Finnish PokerStars qualifier Aku Joentausta with 236,200.

Of those to build solid stacks coming out of their respective Day 1s were Team PokerStars Pros Lex Veldhuis (148,800), Theo Jorgensen (129,000), Sebastian Ruthenberg (95,700), Fatima Moreira de Melo (89,100), Joao Nunes (79,500) and Pius Heinz (78,400).

Joining those rocking the red spade are World Series of Poker gold bracelet winners John Juanda, Andy Frankenberger, Dominik Nitsche, Ronnie Bardah, Tristan Wade and Davidi Kitai. To view the entire table and seat draw for Day 2, click here or simply scroll down a bit.

The plan for Day 2 is for another five or six levels to be played, but that is still yet to be determined. The cards are scheduled to be in the air at noon local time here at Casino Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain and you won't want to miss the action. PokerNews will be on hand for all of the updates, so stay tuned!

It's going to be another packed house for Day 2 here in Barcelona
