Koen De Visscher
Koen De Visscher

Koen De Visscher, fresh from his fifth place finish at the EPT Campione Main Event has just eliminated Santiago Nadal and now has 275,000 chips.

Nadal opened from the button, De Visscher three-bet to 14,500 from the big blind, Nadal four-bet to 29,600 then called when De Visscher five-bet shoved all in for 141,000. Nadal turned over {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and was up against the Belgian's {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The board ran out {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and when the stacks were counted De Visscher covered Nadal by 15,000 chips and Nadal was eliminated.

Zaichenko Picks Up Queens

Jeremy Nock folds under the gun and the player to his immediate left, Andrey Zaichenko, opened to 5,000. Everyone then folded around to Armin Zoike in the cutoff and he checked out the stack sizes of the players yet to act and then flat-called. On the button was [Removed:207] and he squeezed to 16,500 putting the action back onto the original raiser.

Zaichenko peered at his cards through his oversized sunglasses then four-bet to 37,500, whihc folded out both opponents.

"Would you have folded if he (referring to Fritzler) shoved?" quizzed Selbst semi tongue in cheek perhaps.

"Four-bet bluffing with queens? Not this time," came the reply.

Ravnsbaek Represents His Opponent's Hand

The action folded around to Simon Ravnsbaek in the small blind and he decided to get funky with his lowly {9-Spades}{7-Spades} and limp in. Davidi Kitai stuck in a standard raise before Ravnsbaek moved all in on him for around 35,000 chips. Kitai snap-called for reasons that will become blatantly obvious in the next paragraph!

Kitai flipped over {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}, told you it would be obvious, Ravnsbaek looked quite embarrassed with his holding, even more so because the production team began filming the hand. The dealer fanned out the made-for-TV flop of {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} and the even better {6-Hearts} turn but the {10-Clubs} failed to improve Ravnsbaek and he exited to the sidelines.

Linde Loses the Lot

Per Linde's Berlin main event has come to and end after he went with a flush draw but failed to hit.

Grzegorz Derkowski and Linde both called an early position raise to 5,000 to see a {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop.

The original raiser continued for 9,000 and Derkowski called before Linde raised to 26,000. The aggressor folded but Derkowski moved all-in. Linde called off his remaining stack with {q-Spades}{j-Spades}. His opponent tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and stayed ahead on the {2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} turn and river.
