Former PCA Champ Eliminated

Harrison Gimbel, who you may recall won 2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure for $2.2 million, got his stack of approximately 13,500 all in preflop holding {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and was up against the {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} of Laurent Polito. The board provided Gimbel no relief and he was eliminated in the latter half of Level 7.

Dato Shoves the Flop

Andrea Dato fired 1,750 on the {K-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, and Lorenzo Sabato raised to 4,200. Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier flatted the raise, then Dato was back up. He took some time, then moved all in for 21,125. Sabato and Mercier both gave it up, and Dato won the pot.

Nitsche Out

Dmitry Grishin called Dominik Nitsche's all-in bet with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. Nitsche held the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and was dominated. The board ran out {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{7-Spades}, and Nitsche was sent to the rail.

Marchenko Runs Into Weihs' Kings

Mikhail Marchenko got his stack of about 10,000 all in preflop holding {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and was in rough shape against the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} of Ory Weihs. The {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop gave Marchenko some added outs to a seven, but unfortunately for him, neither the {6-Clubs} turn nor {Q-Hearts} river would be of any use. With that, Weihs chipped up to 45,000.

Lacay Back to Black

Ludovic Lacay
Ludovic Lacay

Ludovic Lacay has had a tough year, for him, with comparatively few results. Today has been a similar story for him after a good start, although he's managed to get back into the black.

He was heads up to the turn of a {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board and faced a 4,500 bet from an opponent sat under-the-gun.

The Frenchman raised to 11,000 and had to wait and wait as his opponent tanked. After more than five minutes Lacay called the clock and this prompted a fold.

Neuville Left Crippled

Pierre Neuville
Pierre Neuville

With the {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} on the board and already a decent amount of chips in the pot, Pierre Neuville bet 5,550. He was called by his only opponent Laurent Polito to see the turn.

The dealer popped the {9-Spades} on the turn, and Neuville checked. Polito went straight to the point and moved all in. The stack in front of him was much bigger than that of Neuville's, who was holding 16,000. Making the call would have meant putting his tournament life at risk and Neuville had to give it a long thought.

It seemed a bit too long for one of the players at the table and he called the clock on Neuville. Neuville was given one minute to act and before the time ran out, he opted to fold his cards.
