Elder Doubles

With around 26,000 already in the pot and the board reading {7-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {3-Hearts} Oliver Speidel pushed in 35,000 and it was Rupert Elder's turn to act. Speidel's bet almost covered Elder's stack and he took a couple of minutes to make the decision. He had finally opted to go all in and Speidel snap-called.

Elder showed {A-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} while Speidel flipped {A-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}. Elder's nine gave him a better second pair and he doubled up.

Boeree Loses Some

We found Liv Boeree and Matthew Keikoan heads up in a pot looking down at a board of {9-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Boeree bet 3,200 and was awaiting action from Keikoan. After about a minute, Keikoan called and Boeree showed {K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of kings.

Unfortunately for Boeree, Keikoan showed {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for two pair and took down the pot.

Heinz Building Up

The latest EPT champion Mikalai Pobal opened with a raise to 1,200 from the middle position and Team PokerStars Pro Pius Heinz reraised to 3,000 on the button. Rene Roseler and Danilo Donnini both called and so did Pobal.

The flop brought {4-Clubs} {J-Spades} {4-Hearts} and action checked to Heins who tossed in 5,300. Al three of his opponents folded and Heinz collected the pot.

River Diamond Doesn't Sit Too Well with Qu

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

With 10,500 in the pot and a flop of {3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Guido Roperti checked and watched Eric Qu bet 6,550. Roperti responded by moving all in for 25,500, and after thinking about it for a few moments Qu made the call.

Showdown
Qu: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Roperti: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

Qu seemed pleased with his call, but Roperti was drawing to two overs and any diamond. The {6-Clubs} turn changed nothing, but the {7-Diamonds} did as it gave Roperti his flush. Qu slammed the table in frustration and then sent over a bunch of chips, leaving himself 19,000 behind.
