Koen De Visscher started the day with less than the average stack but he has been plugging away, trying to claw his way back into things and his patience has finally paid off.
He opened from UTG+1 to 10,000 and to his immediate left Nick Yunis made the call. The action then folded to Bryan Piccioli in the small blind and he moved all in for around 120,000 and amazingly De Visscher moved all in behind him and then Yunis called too!
Piccioli:
Yunis:
De Visscher:
An online poker hand if ever we saw one! The board ran out a rather void of drama, reading by the river, busting Piccoli out in 70th place, leaving Yunis with just 70,000 and catapulting De Visscher to 628,000!
Stefano Puccilli slowed played aces versus Liv Boeree and it worked out rather well for him as he managed a full double up, although it almost didn't.
Boeree opened from under the gun and Puccilli was the only caller from the next seat. The flop fell and the Team PokerStars Pro continued for 13,000 and called when her Italian opponent shipped for 62,000.
Boeree opened and was ahead of Puccilli’s . She couldn't stay that way though as the board ran out to counterfeit her hand.
A preflop raising war between Massimo Mosele and Ramin Hajiyev broke out that result in the latter being all-in and at risk of elimination. He turned over that was in big trouble against the of Mosele.
The flop kept Mosele nicely in front and the turn kept him there. But the river was the and with that Mosele's stack was crippled; he now has just 30,500 chips.
We were attracted to Table 10 because of the strange blue glow being given off due to the sheer number of 5,000 chips in the middle of the felt. When we arrived we saw a board reading and Jose Manuel Nadal Sordo on the button having bet just 18,500 into a pot worth 130,000. Anestis Pantazidis was in the hijack seat and he had raised to 60,000 and when Sordo moved all-in for an additional 121,000 Pantazidis quickly called.
Sordo turned over and Pantazidis mucked his hand and is left with around 50,000.
Andrey Demidov moved all in from late position and was called by Marco Fabbrini before Balazs Botond reraised all in from the big blind, Fabbrini folded what he said was ace-queen.
Demidov:
Botond:
The board came and the Hungarian retook the chip lead and moved back over 800,000.
The tournament halts for an instant reply to confirm whether Benas Molis was actually the bubble boy or had snuck into the money with a €7,500 min-cash.
Now that the bubble has burst the shorter stacks have been moving all in with alarming regularity, including Antonio Buonanno who has open-shoved the last three hands in a row but is yet to pick up a caller. Look out for his name in the payouts soon as he is bound to be called sooner rather than later.
