Bustout Right Before Dinner

On the very last hand before dinner break, Fabian Quoss opened to 16,000 from under the gun, Martin Quack three-bet shoved for 156,000 from the cutoff seat, and Quoss tank-called.

Quack: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Quoss: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, and Quack was eliminated in 17th place.

When we return from the 60-minute dinner break, the remaining 16 players will redraw for the final two tables.

"Would You Have Won?"

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Eugene Katchalov was under the gun and opened for 16,000, which Juha Helppi called from the button. Marcin Wydrowski then moved all in from the small blind for 127,000, Katchalov folded, and Helppi dropped in a call.

Showdown
Wydrowski: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Helppi: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Both players sat silently and motionless as the board ran out {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. "Would you have won?" Helppi asked Katchalov, who shook his head in the affirmative.

"I had {a-}{10-}," Katchalov said as Wydrowski was pushed the pot.

Mercier Doubles Cazals

Aubin Cazals was all in and at risk for his last 83,000 chips with {a-Spades}{3-Spades}, and he was crushed by Jason Mercier's {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. The board ran out {k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{a-Hearts} however, and the Frenchman doubled.

Klein Makes the Call

Morten Klein opened to 16,000 in the cutoff seat, Olivier Busquet three-bet to 36,000 on the button, and Klein called. The flop was {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}, and because Marcin Wydrowski and Paolo Compagno were all in on Table 1, we missed the exact action. From the looks of things, Klein check raised to around 80,000, and Busquet made the call.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, both players checked, and the river was the {8-Hearts}. Klein checked again, and Busquet moved all in for effectively 125,000.

Klein tanked for the better part of five minutes, stacking up all of his chips, unstacking all of his chips, and then stacking them up again. Finally, he called.

Busquet flashed queen-jack before mucking, and Klein slammed {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} onto the felt for just a pair of eights. He doubled to around 550,000, while Busquet dropped to around 190,000.

Wydrowski vs. Compagno Part Deux

Marcin Wydrowski open-shoved his last 64,000, and Paolo Compagno looked him up from the small blind.

Wydrowski: {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Compagno: {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}, and Wydrowski doubled.

Wydrowski vs. Compagno

Paolo Compagno got his stack of 104,000 all in preflop and was racing against Marcin Wydrowski.

Showdown
Compagno: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Wydrowski: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

It was a flip, but not after the flop fell {J-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}. Compagno paired his jack to take the lead, though Wydrowski did pick up a flush draw. The {10-Hearts} turn actually improved Compagno to a straight, which meant Wydrowski needed a diamond on the river to eliminate his opponent. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {7-Hearts}.

#Face

On one of the last hands of Level 16, Marvin Retteinmaier and Jason Mercier took a flop of {4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. Rettenmaier check-called a 13,000-chip bet from Mercier, and the turn brought the {10-Hearts}.

Rettenmaier checked again, Mercier fired 34,000, and Rettenmaier called.

The {a-Clubs} completed the board, and Rettenmaier checked a third and final time. Mercier emptied the chamber, plopping 88,000 across the betting line, and Rettenmaier folded with a frown on his face.

Mercier happily flicked his cards into the muck.

Three-Way Battle

Olivier Busquet opened to 12,000 on the button, Fabian Quoss called out of the small blind, and Sorel Mizzi defended his big blind.

The flop fell {3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, and the action checked to Busquet, who fired 16,000. Quoss called, Mizzi check-raised to 52,000, and both Busquet and Quoss called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}, the trio rapped the table, and the river brought the {9-Hearts}. The action checked to Busquet again, and he slid out 75,000. Both Quoss and Mizzi folded.

After a series of bets and raises, Kent Lundmark was all in and at risk preflop with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Andrey Gulyy had {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}, and held as the board came {8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.
