Three Kings

Enrico Tau opened to 32,000 from the cutoff seat, David Boyaciyan three-bet to 72,000 from the small blind, and Tau called. The flop fell {7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, and both players checked.

The turn was the {5-Clubs}, Boyaciyan led for 92,000, and Tau called.

The river was the {6-Diamonds}, Boyaciyan led again - this time for 120,000 - and again Tau called.

Boyaciyan tabled {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for a set of kings, and Tau mucked.

Change of Plans

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We stated at the beginning of the day that play would continue until 24 players remain. Due to the quick rate of eliminations the plans have been changed and we'll continue until 21 players remain.

There will be a redraw at 24 players and that draw will carry over to tomorrow.

Espina Cripples Hanowski

We witnessed a big pot develop in the last hand before the break.

It began when Iosif Beskrovnyy opened for 25,000 from the hijack and was met with a three-bet to 58,000 from Sergio Aido Espina in the cutoff. Martin Hanowski then put in a four-bet to 121,000, Beskrovnyy folded, and Espina made the call.

When the flop fell {4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}, Hanowski checked and opened the door for Espina to bet 75,000. Hanowski thought for a bit before check-raising to 163,000, Espina called, and it was off to the {K-Diamonds} turn.

Hanowski opted to keep the pressure on with a bet of 202,000, but he couldn't shake Espina. When the {5-Spades} peeled off on the river, both players checked and Hanowski tabled {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. Much to his frustration, Espina revealed {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} to take down the monster pot.

Dominguez Dusted

Cesar Garcia Dominguez (Day 2) - Eliminated
Cesar Garcia Dominguez (Day 2) - Eliminated

Just before break, Dany Parlafes opened to 26,000 in early position, Sergey Kuzminskiy flatted on his direct left, and the action folded to Cesar Garcia Dominguez, who moved all in for just under 400,000 from the small blind.

Parlafes quickly folded, and Kuzminskiy tank-called.

Kuzminskiy: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Dominguez: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The flop fell {7-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, giving Kuzminskiy backdoor flush and straight draws, and the {7-Hearts} kept his flush draw alive. The black river card did not complete the Russian's flush draw, but the {q-Clubs} did give him a better pair and a knockout.

Dominguez hit the rail, while Kuzminskiy chipped up to around 800,000 chips.

Donnini Finds a Three-Outer

Jorma Nuutinen has just lost a big pot to Danilo Donnini despite getting his chips in with the far better hand.

Ramzi Jalessi opened from early position and Donnini — next to act — three-bet all in for 202,000 in total. The action passed around to Nuutinen in the big blind and after checking his cards he said a simple, "Call." Jelassi folded and the active players showed their hands down.

Donnini: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Nuutinien: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

Donnini came from behind when the flop came down {4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and when those community cards were followed by the {10-Spades} turn and {10-Hearts} river, Donnini doubled up.

Galtos Doubles Through Jelassi

Ramzi Jelassi opened from middle position only to see Nicholas Galtos three-bet all in for 144,000 in total. Jelassi called and the cards were flipped onto their backs.

Jelassi: {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Galtos: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Board: {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}

"Nice hand," said Jelassi as he handed over 144,000 from his monster stack.

Fabrice Gets Frisky; Herm Not Having It

Fabrice Soulier (Day 3) - Eliminated
Fabrice Soulier (Day 3) - Eliminated

Mark "dipthrong" Herm opened to 25,000 from the cutoff, Fabrice Soulier three-bet to 65,000 on the button, and both blinds released. Herm tanked for a bit, riffling chips with one hand, then he grabbed a tower of blue T5,000 chips. He four-bet to what looked like 118,000, and Soulier quickly moved all in.

There was a beat, then Herm called.

Soulier: {j-Spades}{9-Spades}
Herm: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The flop fell {5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, giving Soulier a leading pair of nines, and neither player flinched. The turn was the {q-Hearts}, giving Herm extra outs to catch up, and the {8-Hearts} fell on the river to give him a winning flush.

Again, neither player flinched.

The stacks were counted down, and when it was confirmed that Soulier had less chips than Herm, he began to gather his things. He shook Herm's hand, then headed for the rail.

Herm now sits with 1.475 million chips.
