Eugene Katchalov Eliminated in 71st Place (€13,200)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov

Right before the break Eugene Katchalov lost a huge pot with ace seven to ace king on an ace high board. That set him back to around 100,000 and that amount he just shoved to the middle. It was 107,000 to be exact and he made his move from the under the gun plus two position.

Action folded to Lasell King in the small blind who announced to be all in as well. Norwegian Morten Klein in the big blind had the decision for his 345,000 stack and folded after some minutes of thinking.

King, who won the Poker EM CAPT in Baden last October for €92,035, tabled {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} which was superior to Katchalov's {A-Spades}{10-Spades}. The {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} board couldn't help Katchalov and he exited in 71st place, the first one in the new pay out level of €13,200.

Rollercoaster for Hasson

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ori Hasson had just successfully 5-Bet shoved all in to get a fold and showed the table his {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. The next hand he called an all-in from PokerStars player Piotr Robert Pietrzak. Hasson had {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} against the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} of Pietrzak. The flop was {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} putting a smile on Pietrzak’s lips. The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and Hasson rather mysteriously called for “Another one.” River {6-Clubs} and Pietrzak could sit back down again with his double up.

Walid Bou Habib Eliminated by Vit Blachut in 74th Place (€11,100)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Walid Bou Habib
Walid Bou Habib

Walid Bou Habib, who began the day as chip leader, opened the button to 15,000 and saw Vit Blachut three bet from the small blind to 31,000. The big blind quickly folded but Bou Habib wanted to see a flop and paid the additional 16,000.

Blachut made a 25,000 continuation bet on {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} but was soon met by a raise from Bou Habib. The Lebanese EPT Deauville runner up made it 68,000 and after some thinking Blachut made the call. The {10-Spades} fell on the turn and Blachut checked to Bou Habib. He thought for a little while before announcing all in. The call from Blachut couldn't have been faster.

Blachut showed up with {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Bou Habib was drawing dead with his flopped top two; {7-Spades}{9-Spades}. The {10-Clubs} on the river didn't change a thing and Bou Habib was out just like that.
