Dom's Poppin

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dominik Nitsche is always someone to look out for and today he's already given us quite the show. While we caught the end of the hand in which he busted Dan Smith he managed to knock out another player. The board read {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} when Nitsche's opponent check-raised all in for 10,000 after the German pro had bet 2,200. Nitsche called and showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} against his opponent's {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. The river brought the {4-Clubs} and Nitsche knocked another player out.

As mentioned before, one hand before this knockout it was Smith who lost his chips to Nitsche. On a {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} board Smith put his final 28,000 chips at risk and showed {J-Spades}{10-Spades}. Nitsche had {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and the river was the {8-Diamonds}. No luck for Smith was went from 63,000 chips to nothing within a level.

"I've never seen Dan brick in a pot like that," Marc-Andre Ladouceur said as the other players started laughing.

"But the dealer almost shipped him the pot anyways. Even the dealer couldn't believe it," Paul Berende replied as another wave of laughter followed.

Smith has been knocked out and Nitsche has one of the biggest stacks in the room right now.

Seiver Back to Starting Stack

Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver

Scott Seiver dipped below the starting stack to start Day 1a of the Main Event, but has since crossed the 30,000-chip threshold.

In a recent hand, he was heads up with Thomas Schulze on a board of {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Schulze led out for 4,100, and Seiver raised to 10,000 straight. Schulze tanked for quite some time, then folded his hand.

Seiver raked in the pot, and now sits with 32,000.

Kamas Doubles Through Bilokur

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

There was a raise and a few calls prior to Alex Bilokur re-raising out of the small blind. Georgios Kamas moved all in for 11,625 from the big blind, and the action folded back to the Russian, who snap-called.

Bilokur: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Kamas: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{a-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, and Kamas doubled. Bilokur now sits with 30,250 chips.

Gulyy Can't Bluff It

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

We came upon the table to find a completed board of {6-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. With about 10,000 already in the middle, a player checked over to Yury Gulyy. Gulyy cut out a bet of 6,500 and his opponent went into the tank.

After a moment his opponent called and Gulyy instantly threw his hand into the muck without turning it up. The pot was pushed to his opponent who showed {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for Broadway. Gulyy's stack is now down to about 49,000.

Bonomo Battles Former Champs

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Zimnan Ziyard
Zimnan Ziyard

Justin Bonomo has found himself sat with four former EPT champs in the shapes of Michael Tureniec, Moritz Kranich, Max Lykov and Zimnan Ziyard. He's just battled with two of them and lost some chips.

Bonomo opened to 1,050 and was called by Lykov in the cut-off and Ziyard in the small blind. The flop fell {3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs} and Bonomo continued for 2,000 and was only called by Ziyard. No more chips ventured into the middle as the {6-Hearts}{j-Clubs} turn and river were checked through.

Bonomo opened {2-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and lost out to Ziyard's {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

Swings For Daubach

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

The board read {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Kenny Hallaert bet 1,600 after Marc Daubach had checked. Denis Sagorski made the call and Daubach raised it up to 4,600. Hallaert gave it some thought and folded his hand. Sagorski made the call and the turn brought the {Q-Clubs}. Daubach bet 6,400 and Sagorski called again.

On the river the {8-Spades} hit and Daubach checked quickly. Sagorski checked behind right away and Daubach turned over his {K-}{K-}. These ended up in the muck after Sagorski had shown his rivered straight with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The very next hand Hallaert was in the big blind and he ended up all in while being in great shape against Daubach.

Kenny Hallaert: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Marc Daubach: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Hallaert was knocked out after an unlucky turn.
