Be(a)ts By Dr. Dre

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

After preflop raise we see the first barrel on the {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} flop and Yordan Georgiev then fires 1,750 on the {2-Clubs} turn. Vincenzo Scarpitti makes the call from the button and then looks at his opponent with the Dr. Dre headphones on top of a hoodie after the Bulgarian made it 3,250 to go on the {K-Diamonds} river. Ultimately the Italian called with {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and it was a split pot against {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Kostic Doesn't Dare

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Dragan Kostic opened the action with a raise to 400 from the under the gun plus two position. Two seats down Markku Koplimaa made it 1,075 from the hijack. The cutoff, button and both blinds folded and Kostic made the call.

{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

Kostic checked to his Estonian opponent who fired out a 1,075 continuation bet. Kostic called rather quickly.

Both players checked the {J-Clubs} on the turn and the {J-Diamonds} hit the river. Kostic checked again and Koplimaa bet out a hefty 3,525. Kostic thought about it for some time, but folded in the end.

Guillemain Slips Some

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante
Angel Guillen
Angel Guillen

The Frenchman won his seat through one of the live satellites at the Casino Sanremo and already doubled up his starting stack in the first two levels. He just slipped back to 52,000 though after paying off the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} of Matteo Taddia for 6,400 on a {5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{K-Clubs} river. Unable to beat that, Guillemain mucked his cards ...

Big Pots Only for Selbst

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Carl Henrikss, a Swedish PokerStars player, was next to tangle with Vanessa Selbst. The flop was {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Selbst, first to act, bet 500. She was raised to 1,000 by Henriksson in the cut-off and she made the call.

The turn card was the {k-Diamonds} and again Selbst took the aggressive line with a bet of 2,600. Henriksson reached for chips and made it 6,300. After some thought and a Selbst stare for good measure she announced all in. A quick check of the exact count from Henriksson before his cards hit the muck.

Kitty Kuo returned to the table to be informed by Selbst, “I’m not gonna play small pots. I’m just going to play big pots.”
