Adams in the Blinds

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

A raise from early position to 525 saw David Amiryan make the call but when it folded round to Timothy Adams he opted to raise to 2,150. The squeeze play work and the pot was pushed to Adams. They would tangle again in the next hand.

Amiryan opened for 550 and this time Adams just called in the small blind. They saw a flop of {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Adams check called a bet of 800 from Amiryan and they saw a turn card {q-Clubs}. Both players checked to see a river card {2-Hearts} and again it was checked down.

Adams turned over {q-Spades}{10-Spades} and with a nod Amiryan mucked his hand.

Big Stacks Collide

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Two of the big stacks at the table clashed on the turn with the board reading {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}. David Amiryan made a bet of 3,600 and [Removed:17] made his intentions clear with a raise to 17,300. Amiryan looked resignedly at his cards for a while before folding.

Battle of the "Kara": Only One Will Survive

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

With around 17,000 in the pot and a flop of {3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Australian pro Jonathan Karamalikis checked from the under-the-gun position and Georgios Karakousis bet 11,000 from the hijack. The button thought long and hard before folding, and then Karamalikis sprung to life with an all-in check-raise. Karakousis wasted little time in calling off and the cards were turned up.

Karakousis: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Karamalikis: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Both players held overpairs to the board, but of course Karamalikis' was best. Karakousis seemed irritated, slapped his cards down, and then stood up and began to leave. He paused long enough to look back as the dealer put out the {8-Hearts} and {2-Hearts} on the turn and river respectively, and then Karakousis promptly stormed out of the room.
