Muehloecker Doubles Through Hajiyev

Kurganov Makes a Hero Call, Schemion Gets Unlucky

Luuk Gieles juist told us about a "sick hand" he played against Igor Kurganov. Gieles opened with and Kurganov made the call from the big blind. Kurganov check called a bet of 4,000 on and the both checked on the turn. The river came the and Kurganov checked again. With about 20,000 or so in the pot, Gieles moved all in. Kurganov, who had about 37,000 left called the over bet with just high and was right!

Gieles, who just lost a fair portion of his chips, saw Ole Schemion raise to 5,000 under the gun. Gieles three bet to 15,600 with and action folded back to the German.
