One Heart Short for Chen

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We happened upon a hand in progress with Jaroslaw Sikora all in preflop for 112,000 and at risk against Andrew Chen.

Chen: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Sikora: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Sikora was well out in front, but the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} made things interesting as Chen picked up a flush draw. The {4-Clubs} turn didn't complete it, and fortunately for Sikora, neither did the {2-Spades} river.

Massive Pot to Moradi

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Abbas Moradi has taken down a huge pot that has seen him soar up the chip counts.

A preflop betting war broke out between Moradi in the small blind and Germany's Julian Stuer in the hijack that resulted in Moradi being all-in for 525,000 chips in total. Moradi held {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and Stuer {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. An aces-friendly board reading {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} saw Moradi climb to more than one million chips, but left Stuer nursing a 79,000 chip stack.

Myren Gets a Double

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After an under the gun raise and a call from Boghean Andre Lucian, it was Vegar Myren who moved all in from the big blind for 106,000. The under-the-gun raiser gave it some thought, but folded, and Lucian made the call.

Lucian: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Myren: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{K-Spades} and Myren doubled his stack up.

Kortas Gets Crafty With Kings

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Germany's Thomas Butzhammer raised from late position and Ghattas Kortas called from the big blind. Kortas then check-called a 14,000 bet on the {2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop before both players checked the {J-Hearts} turn. Kortas then fired a bet of 27,000 on the {4-Spades}, Butzhammer called and then mucked when Kortas showed a craftily played {K-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

Nemchin Pipped By Franco

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Sonny Franco opened for 14,000 from middle position and was met by an all-in three-bet to just under 100,000 by Alexander Nemchin in the small blind. The big blind folded and Franco tossed in a single chip to indicate a call.

Franco: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Nemchin: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Nemchin was in big trouble, and it got even worse when the {3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop gave Franco a full house. Nemchin needed running eights to stay alive, but that didn't happen as the {7-Diamonds} appeared on the turn followed by the {5-Diamonds} on the river.

El Khoury: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Persson: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and El Khoury was knocked out.
