Bruno Lopes Eliminated in 18th Place (€35,800)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Bruno Lopes - 18th Place
Bruno Lopes - 18th Place

In the last hand before the break, Ilkin Amirov raised to 80,000 from the button and was met by a three-bet to 210,000 by Bruno Lopes in the small blind. Gleb Tremzin then four-bet to 420,000 from the big blind, Amirov folded, and Lopes moved all in for what looked to be 1,6 million total. Tremzin snap-called.

Tremzin: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Lopes: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

It was a huge flip, and Lopes was looking to hold to score the big double. He did so on the {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop, but then the dealer burned and turned the {K-Spades} to give Tremzin a pair of kings. Lopes had plenty of outs headed to the river, but the {5-Hearts} was not one of them.

O'Rourke Shoves on Banicevic

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Vlado Banicevic was on the button and he made it 85,000 to play. Gavin O'Rourke, in the small blind, three-bet all-in for 910,000 in total. The big blind folded, as did Banicevic albeit after 30 or 40 seconds of pondering what move to make.

Samuel Vousden asked the dealer to confirm what the three-bet all-in amount was and looked to make a mental note.

Bozzano Slips Under 1MM

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Enio Bozzano hasn't had the best of times since returning from break and is down to 940,000 chips.

One hand saw him three-bet an 85,000 opening raise from Samuel Vousden to 220,000 and then fold to a 220,000 four-bet from his Finnish opponent. A few hands later, Bozzano opened from the button and faced a three-bet from Vlado Banicevic in the big blind. A 90-second tank was followed by a fold from Bozzano who showed {A-}{10-} and was shown the {8-}{8-} in return.

Walker, Jack Cracker

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

A short-stacked Chris Walker moved all in for 490,000 from the hijack and Samuel Vousden looked him up from the cutoff.

Walker: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Vousden: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

It was a flip, but not after the {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop paired Walker. Neither the {3-Clubs} turn nor {7-Clubs} river changed a thing and Walker shipped the double.

Nice Pot Pushed to Amirov

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Olivier Ferrero opened for 85,000 from the hijack and then called when Ilkin Amirov three-bet to 205,000 from the cutoff. Ferraro check-called a bet of 160,000 on the {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop and then both players checked the {5-Spades} turn. When the {3-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Ferrero led out for 215,000 and Amirov thought long and hard before calling.

Ferrero showed the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for nut no pair, but it was no good as Amirov held a pair with the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Ilkin Amirov opened for 80,000 from the button only to have Bruno Lopes three-bet to 255,000 from the small blind. Gleb Tremzin then four-bet to 435,000 from the big, Amirov folded, and Lopes wasted little time in five-betting all in. Tremzin snap-folded.

Popov Makes a Flush, Climbs to 2.4MM

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Slaven Popov is up to 2,400,000 after a big pot went his way after a clash with Onur Unsal.

Popov raised to 90,000 from the cutoff, Onur Unsal re-raised to 270,000 from the small blind, and Popov called. Both players checked the {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, but Unsal came out firing 305,000 chip on the {7-Hearts} turn. Popov called. The river was the {4-Hearts}, Unar checked, Popov checked behind.

Popov revealed the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a flush and a disappointed Unsal saw his {7-}{6-} become an expensive second hand.

Dominik Paus Eliminated in 19th Place (€35,800)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Dominik Paus
Dominik Paus

Dominik Paus' tournament is over after losing a coinflip against Spain's Javier Gomez.

Gomez opened to 90,000 and quickly called when Paus re-raised all-in for 590,000 in total. Paus' tournament hopes were pinned on the {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Gomez needed to catch some of the board as he held {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. Gomez didn't hit any of the {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, or the {3-Hearts} turn, but the {A-Spades} river gifted Gomez the best hand and resigned Paus to a 19th place finish.
