Charlie Carrel Doubles Through Sebastian Veghinas

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

There might be a snag in Sebastian Veghinas's oft-repeated maxim of "I don't want to be famous, I just want to win the tournament" as he doubled up Charlie Carrel.

Carrel held {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} against Veghinas's {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and the board ran out {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, giving the Romanian top pair, but the former EPT High Roller Champion a set of fives to double up.

Sarah had a chat with the chatty player right after the hand.

Onur Unsal Eliminated By Mihails Morozovs

Onur Unsal open-shoved a little over 50,000 from middle position. Behind him, Mihails Morozovs reshoved all in, covering Unsal.

Onur Unsal: {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Mihails Morozovs: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, eliminating Unsal from the High Roller tournament.

Michal Rudnik Eliminated by Shan Huang

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Michal Rudnik elected to limp from early position. Marc Macdonnell then raised to 13,500 from the button. Shan Huang was in the small blind and he called. The big blind folded and action was back on Michal Rudnik who moved all in for 100,500.

Macdonnell quickly folded, but Huang wanted a count. There was a minor language barrier, and by the time Huang had clarified that it wasn't 150,000 or 105,000, he made the call.

Rudnik showed {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Huang {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}. The board ran out {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Rudnik headed for the door.

Chris Moorman

Chris Moorman and Shyam Srinivasan have been playing on the same table all day, and have tangled in some previous pots. However, in this hand they got their stacks preflop into the middle.

Chris Moorman: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}
Shyam Srinivasan: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, sealing Moorman's fate after the turn. After both stacks were counted, it turned out Srinivasam had a little more than Moorman, ending the Brit's run.

Joni Jouhkimainen Doubles Through Alexandru Papazian

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Alexandru Papazian raised from the cutoff to 10,000 and got shoved on by Joni Jouhkimainen on the button. Jouhkimainen's shove was for 46,500 and Papazian thought for a minute or two about his decision.

Eventually called and watched Jouhkimainen turn over {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Papazian held {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The flop came {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades} with no help for Papazian. The turn was the {2-Hearts} meaning that any heart or an ace would see Papazian eliminate Jouhkimainen. However, the river was the {10-Clubs} and Jouhkimainen secured his double up.

Sebastian Veghinas Coolers Leo Yan Ho Cheng

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

The flamboyant Sebastian Veghinas, whom we reported on yesterday, is once again very talkative today. Veghinas, who literally speaks like Teddy KGB from the movie Rounders, got involved in a big hand with Leo Yan Ho Cheng, quite possibly the quietest player in the field.

On a flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Veghinas bet 15,000 and Cheng raised to 35,000.

"Why you raise me? Now you gonna double me up", Veghinas pipped. "I promise you, if I win I buy you massage". Even with the tempting offer on the table, Cheng didn't respond. After twenty seconds, Veghinas called.

On the {J-Clubs} turn, Veghinas once again made a speech before acting, "I have to call you now on turn. But first, I need to check," the Romanian said. With the action on Cheng, the Canadian moved all in for 80,000.

"Call," a suddenly serious Veghinas said.

Leo Yan Ho Cheng: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Sebastian Veghinas: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

It was a massive cooler for Cheng, and the river {K-Hearts} didn't change that. Veghinas raked in the monstrous pot and forced Cheng to the rail.

"Professional kaput," the Romanian growled. "He not speaking. Don't like that. Need to bust him."
