Autiö Topples Eiler In Huge Cooler

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Olli Autiö
Olli Autiö

Olli Autiö raised preflop from middle position, Aram Sargsyan called on the button, and Michael Eiler called from the small blind. The flop was {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Eiler checked. Autiö continued with 40,000, Sargsyan called on the button, then Eiler put in a check-raise to 156,000. Autiö took around a minute before making the call, and Sargsyan folded.

On the {2-Hearts} turn, Eiler continued his aggression with a bet of 224,000. Autiö took around two minutes before sliding in another call. The river was the {5-Hearts}, double-pairing the board. Eiler checked and Autiö moved all in. It was for Eiler's remaining stack of 330,000, and the German called it off right away.

Olli Autiö: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Michael Eiler: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

It was a massive set-up for Eiler, who's tournament life suddenly came to an end. Eiler kept his composure and wished his tablemates good luck on his way to the payout desk.

Andreas Chalkiadakis Scores a Big Double

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Andreas Chalkiadakis raised to 50,000 from the small blind and Lucian Draghici called out of the big blind. On the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, Chalkiadakis continued for 55,000 and Draghici called before the Greek then checked the {8-Clubs} on the turn.

Draghici bet 105,000 and Chalkiadakis moved all in for 347,000, which Draghici called.

Chalkiadakis: {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Draghici: {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The {5-Hearts} river was a blank and Chalkiadakis banged his fist on the table in excitement after yet another double.

Mortensen and Mercier

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Playing just the first hand at the new blind level before the table is chopped, we saw Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier and Danish player Morten Mortensen get involved.

Pre-flop, Mortensen opened to 38,000 from middle position, and in the hijack position, Mercier made it 117,000. Mortensen seemed undeterred, and so it proved as he re-raised to 248,000. A smooth call from Mercier and we saw a flop of {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, which both players checked.

The turn of {J-Hearts} led to a bet of 191,000 from Mortensen, and that was enough for Mercier to eventually lay it down.

"I finished 10th here four years ago," Mortensen was telling us at the break. "It would be cool to go further in a record-breaking field."

He's taking steady steps towards making that a reality... but there is a very long way to go. Mercier will remain a danger on whichever table he ends up.

Bryn Kenney Busts to Sebastian Malec

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

The cards of Bryn Kenney were already in the muck and the dealer announced the seat open while Sebastian Malec was stacking chips. Michael Eiler confirmed what happened. Malec had raised the button and Kenney three-bet all in from the big blind with pocket fives for almost exactly 20 big blinds.

Malec snap-called with the {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and the board ran out {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts} to eliminate Kenney. The American will most likely jump right back into the action and join the €10,000 High Roller, though.

Andreas Chalkiadakis More Than Doubles

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

In a hand that lasted a few minutes into the first break of Day 4, Andreas Chalkiadakis more than doubled thanks to an isolation by Marco Caza. Caza had raised, Jeffrey Mulder three-bet and Chalkiadakis four-bet all in for his last 188,000. Caza five-bet all in and Mulder folded, claiming in table chat he had ace-queen.

Chalkiadakis: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Caza: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and the Greek celebrated, while Mulder wasn't necessarily happy before storming off into the break.

Thomas Miller Sends Stack to Rumen Nanev

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Another player was sent to the rail just before the end of the level and it was Thomas Miller, who three-bet all in for his last 200,000 out of the big blind. Initial raiser Rumen Nanev called and Miller was dominated.

Miller: {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Nanev: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and the American failed to hit the two-outer.

Diogo Veiga Busts to Vasileios Chalkidis

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

In a battle button versus small blind, Diogo Veiga four-bet all in for more than 350,000 and Vasileios Chalkidis looked him up from one seat over to create an important coin flip for either player.

Veiga: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Chalkidis: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop failed to improve Veiga, and he was drawing dead on the {J-Hearts} turn. Chalkidis even made a full house on the {2-Diamonds} river and Veiga exited in 78th place.
