Silver Wins Last Hand Before Dinner

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Max Silver check-called a bet from fellow Brit Ben Heath for 1,750 on a board of {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Silver repeated the action on the turn, which was the {10-Spades}, this time for 2,850. Both players checked the {9-Clubs} on the river, and Silver showed {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} to scoop the pot just before the dinner break.

Felix Stephensen however joined the rail at almost the same time on another table.

Soulier Doubles

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Fabrice Soulier opened, Shyam Srinivasan three-bet and Daniel Dvoress then four-bet before the Frenchman got his stack in with the {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. Dvoress had to call off with the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} but failed to find enough help on the board {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{A-Spades}. Srinivasan said he had folded ace-queen while his stack is still very healthy.

McDonald's Bluff Fails

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

With around 45,000 chips in the pot and the board reading {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, Mike McDonald pushed forward his stack of T-5,000 chips to put table neighbor Luc Greenwood at risk. The latter tanked for a long time and eventually, the clock was called on him. With three seconds to go, Greenwood tossed in a chip and made the call.

McDonald sheepishly turned over his {4-Spades}{3-Spades} for a bluff and Greenwood scored the double for his last 38,625 with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Wheeler Doubles; Drinan Dominates

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

Connor Drinan won a few big pots against table neighbor Mike Watson and one table over, Jason Wheeler just doubled.

Dario Sammartino opened to 1,500 and Wheeler then three-bet to 3,800 from the button before Darrel Goh squeezed to 9,200 from the small blind. Sammartino folded but Wheeler called. On the flop {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Goh continued for 7,500 and was called before making it 17,000 on the {3-Hearts} turn.

Wheeler jammed or 51,500 with the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and was called by Goh with pocket tens. The {A-Hearts} river blanked and the American shipped a double.

Chaves Quadruples Tiny Stack

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Jason Mercier opened to 1,400 and Jared Jaffee three-bet to 3,800 before Pedro Chaves called all in for what looked like 3,150 on the button. Antonio Ferreira also called in the small blind, as did initial raiser Mercier. They all checked down the board {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Ferreira showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}, Mercier flipped over the {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

Jaffee only had {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} while Chaves flipped over {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to quadruple up. "King ten? Was it suited?" Mercier asked in the eight seat next to the dealer and Jaffee grinned back "No. Was it supposed to?"

Vieira Pays Off Stern

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

On the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds} turn, Zvi Stern bet 6,500 and table neighbor Joao Vieira called from the button. The {4-Diamonds} river saw Stern toss in two T-5,000 chips and Vieira reluctantly called to muck when shown {3-Spades}{5-Spades} for a flush draw that became a straight.
