Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Farrell Not to the Pub Yet

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A few minutes ago, Mustapha Kanit joked around with EPT12 Malta Main Event champion Niall Farrell. "So you are from Scotland. I will send you to the pub," with his typical Italian accent. Farrell replied with a grin on the face. "That is plan b. Plan a is to win this tournament."

It wouldn't take long for the two to clash and Farrell bet 63,000 on the {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} turn with a pot of around 90,000. Kanit called from the button and the {3-Diamonds} river saw Farrell move all in. Kanit had around 180,000 chips behind and was covered to eventually fold.

Aggression from Kanit against Kurganov

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit raised to 14,000 under the gun and found calls in Michael Watson, Pratyush Buddiga and Igor Kurganov. The four players all saw a flop of {5-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. It was checked to Kanit who put out a continuation bet of 22,000. Kurganov was the only caller, but he eventually check-folded on the turn over 63,000 when the {q-Diamonds} rolled out on the turn

Celestino vs Vogelsang

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

It was a rather small pot between Ariel Celestino and Christoph Vogelsang, but the 37,000 bet of Celestino already represented an important part of Vogelsang's stack with the board reading {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Eventually, Vogelsang called and his {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} was good enough to scoop the pot.

Winter Doubles Through Mercier

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The cards were already on their backs when we arrived at Sean Winter's table. The PCA $25,000 High Roller runner-up held {a-Spades}{q-Spades} but was only slightly behind to Jason Mercier's pocket fives {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and Mercier was already counting out the chips. The rest of the cards were dealt {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Winter ensured a small double up

A Pair is a Pair

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Joining the action on the {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, Timothy Adams led for 82,000 and table neighbor Daniel Dvoress made the call in an already loaded pot. The {5-Clubs} river came on the river and now both players checked. "A pair," Adams announced and Dvoress waved his hand to ensure his opponent turned over his cards.

Adams did so, sheepishly flipping over {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a pair of threes only but that was still enough to win the pot with Dvoress mucking.

"Chop It Up Boys"

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Niall Farrell raised from the cutoff and Pratyush Buddiga moved all in from the small blind with a rather small stack. "How much is it?" Farrell asked the dealer and once deemed to be 66,000, the Scot called. "Chop it up," Farrell said when both tabled ace rags.

Buddiga: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Farrell: {A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

Indeed both players chopped the pot with the board running out {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} despite Mustapha Kanit rooting for the short stack.

Wittendorff in Action

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

In the previous hand, Kim Wittendorff paid off the valuebet of Martin Jacobson for 77,000 on the river of a board {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Spades} and then mucked when the Swede showed {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for trips seven.

One hand later, Willendorff raised to 18,000 from the hijack and Dario Sammartino in the cutoff as well as Jacobson in the small blind called. On the three-way flop {J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, the action was checked to Sammartino and the Italian made it 23,000 to go. Jacobson called before Wittendorff check-raised to 63,000.

Only Sammartino was interested to see another card, but then mucked to a bet of 101,000 by the Dane on the {6-Spades} turn.
