Kanit Fires Three Times

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

From first position on the 6-handed table, Mustapha Kanit raised to 35,000. His neighbor in the hijack, Mike Watson, made the call. Kanit made a bet of 35,000 on {Q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Watson called.

The {A-Spades} hit the turn and now Kanit made a bet of 80,000. Once again, Watson called.

With the {Q-Hearts} completing the board, Kanit bet 160,000 with 162,000 behind. Having a stack of 244,000, Watson let out a big sigh. He eventually folded and Kanit raked in the pot.

"I call" Charlie Carrel said with a smile, but Kanit didn't budge and showed none of his two cards.

Kitai's Threes Are Good

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Kevin MacPhee raised to 35,000 and Davidi Kitai defended his big blind to see a flop of {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Both players proceeded to check down entirely with {K-Clubs} turn and {7-Diamonds} river as last two community cards and Kitai's {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} won the pot.

Chartier and Kornuth Rising

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Chance Kornuth - Max Silver
Chance Kornuth - Max Silver

Sam Chartier called a bet of 138,000 by Timothy Adams on the {8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} turn while Kim Wittendorff folded, then Adams checked the {8-Diamonds} river. Chartier grabbed into his stack and made it 300,000 to go in order to scoop the pot without showdown.

Soon after he also called a bet of 36,000 by Daniel Dvoress on the {4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Spades} turn before Dvoress checked the {5-Hearts} river. Chartier only had {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} for ace-high but that still took down the pot.

In the last hand of the level, Max Silver and table neighbor Chance Kornuth were involved in a huge pot of around 400,000 chips. Kornuth jammed the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} river for 679,000 and Silver folded after having guessed it may have been a bluff. Kornuth stood up, grinned and showed the Brit his {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}.

MacPhee Slipping; Newey Chipping

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{A-Spades} turn with a pot of around 150,000 chips, Kevin MacPhee bet 84,000 from under the gun and Davidi Kitai called from the button. MacPhee also bet the {8-Diamonds} river for 175,000 and was snap-called by Kitai, who had rivered a set of eights to better the {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} of MacPhee.

Soon after, Christoph Vogelsang opened to 27,000 and Mike McDonald three-bet to 75,000. Paul Newey shoved for 447,000 and that shut down all further action.

Carrel wins Big Pot from Heath

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

On the turn, with a large amount of green 25,000 chips already committed to the pot, Charlie Carrel bet 215,000 on a board of {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{a-Spades} and Heath made the call.

The river card of the {k-Hearts} was checked by both players and Carrel tabled {6-Spades}{10-Spades} for a flush. Heath mucked his cards.

Mustapha Kanit, who is always there for a joking word or two said: "In Italy, we punch our friends for stuff like this!"

Carrel meanwhile was eyeing up Heath who was contemplating the consequences of that pot. "Should I get another hotel room tonight Ben?"

Luca Doubles Through McDonald

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

In the cutoff, Mike McDonald made a bet of 35,000 on {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. On the button, Ivan Luca shoved al in for 177,000 total. McDonald made the call and was in good shape holding {A-Spades}{6-Hearts} as Luca tabled {8-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

The {Q-Hearts} on the turn spoiled McDonald's party though, and the {J-Hearts} on the river didn't change a thing anymore.

Wittendorff Busts Mercier

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Jason Mercier raised to 26,000 from middle position and on the button Kim Wittendorff three-bet to 61,000. Both blinds got out of the way and Mercier made the call.

The last PokerStars Team Pro standing checked on {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, and then called the 65,000 bet that followed from his Danish opponent.

The {2-Spades} on the turn saw Mercier check again with about 220,000 behind. Wittendorff moved all in and Mercier made the call.

Jason Mercier: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Kim Wittendorff: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}

Mercier was in desperate need of a ten, but the dealer wasn't so kind: {J-Spades} on the river. No more Team Pro's in the field, Wittendorff up to over 1.1 million.
