Set No Good For Geissert

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

After four-betting pre-flop Vladas Tamasauskas, check-called a bet of 2,400 from his opponent Bjorn Geissert on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. He did the same when the {k-Hearts} rolled off on the turn.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} completing the flush, and Tamasauskas checked for a third time, only this time his opponent checked behind him. Tamasauskas tabled {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a flush, beating the {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} of Geissert.

Gustavson on Board

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

The name Aaron Gustavson may not ring a bell to many people, mainly because the American hasn't played many live tournaments lately, but Gustavson is a former Main Event champion on the European Poker Tour. In 2009, he defeated a field of 730 participants to scoop the title of EPT9 London for a payday of £850,000.

Small Pot for MacPhee

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Luca Pagano is in today's field and Darryl Fish also just walked in to take his seat between Kevin MacPhee and Seamus Cahill with Ryan Riess in the one seat of the very same table. Fish joked "this is gonna be a great hand" when MacPhee raised to 300 from the small blind and Fish called.

On the flop {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, MacPhee check-called a bet of 350 before they checked the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn. MacPhee's bet of 600 on the river {9-Clubs} was called and the American announced a seven before revealing {K-Spades}{7-Clubs} as winning hand.

Daly Chipping Up Early

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

On a board of {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} John Daly bet 5,200 into a pot of 8,000 and his opponent Nicholas Howard made the call.

Both players checked the river of the {4-Hearts} and Daly tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Howard mucked and Daly scooped a sizeable pot early on day 1a

Leledakis Rivers Full; Gets Paid

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Joining the action on the {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} turn, Christopher Kruk bet 2,250 and Andreas Leledakis called to see the {J-Spades} on the river. Zisimopoulos Starts Well

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Albert Sapiano, Thomas Finneran, Jeremy Nock and Georgios Zisimopoulos have all been spotted in the field as well. Nock and Zisimopoulos are on the same table in the very corner of the room with the Greek raising it up early on. Nock called the raise to 250 and they checked the flop {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and the {2-Spades} on the turn.

After the {5-Clubs} river, Nock folded to a bet of 200 and faced a raise to 300 shortly after to make the call. On the flop {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, Zisimoulos fired a continuation bet and Nock folded to let the Greek grin. "Oh come on," he said and flashed pocket deuces for bottom set.
