"Triple Up Baby"

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

With around 7,000 chips in until the {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{Q-Spades} turn, Or Hadad moved all in for 11,250. Amgd Nadr called and then faced the reshove of Mikhail Korotkikh for more than 35,000 chips. Nadr tanked for two minutes, shook his head and then openly folded the {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for bottom set.

Hadad flipped over his {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for two pair and Korotkikh's flush draw and pair with {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} failed to improve, the {J-Hearts} river was a blank. "Triple up baby," Hadad celebrated and Nadr kept the hands in front of his face in disbelief of what just happened.

Dias Takes from Popov

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Five players went to a flop and saw a board of {4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. It was checked to Bernardo Dias who bet 3,650, and Popov was the only caller. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Popov again check-called a bet from Dias, this time 9,200. On the river, which was another jack, the {j-Diamonds}, Popov checked once more before Dias fired out 27,300 leaving himself only 18,000 behind.

Popov went deep into the tank as the clock ran down towards the dinner break. He counted out the chips to make the call and played with them, before returning the chips to their piles and folding, showing {j-}.

"Good fold," said tablemate Ludovic Geilich, "He's always got {4-}{4-} or {3-}{3-} there. Maybe even {a-}{j-}", as Popov dipped below 100,000 and Dias boosted his stack

Some Notable Stacks

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Here are some notable stacks from the EPT Main Event, including Ryan McEathron who doubled his meagre stack up shoving {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} into his opponent's {a-Spades}{2-Spades} and holding on a {7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} board

Bilic Loses With Queens; Busts

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Alen Bilic opened to 1,000 from the cutoff and Charles Chattha called before Ben Farrell then three-bet to 4,300. Only Bilic called and they saw the flop of {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Farrell continued for 4,000 and Bilic cut out the chips for a call, proceeding to see the {8-Clubs} on the turn. Farrell chose his last option and moved all in for 36,525, a massive overbet compared to the size of the pot.

Bilic gave it a lot of thought and eventually called with slightly more chips.

Farrell: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Bilic: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The {7-Clubs} river was a blank and Bilic was left with only 2,700 chips, the EPT12 Malta runner up departed two hands later. "A bad day," he sighed when walking out of the tournament area. He will stick around for the regular 10k High Roller at the end of the festival, though. Farrell boosted his stack significantly and now has more than table neighbor Gavin O'Rourke.

Rough Lesson by Rudnik

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Upon arrival, a raise to 6,900 was in front of Michal Rudnik and the Pole then faced a raise to 12,000 by Ilan Boujenah from two seats over. Rudnik squeezed to 19,000 and Boujenah quickly folded before he was shown the {3-Spades}. "I love you," the player in seat two applauded and Rudnik grabbed the chips.

Boujenah simply focused straight away on the music on his smart phone immediately after and showed no reaction whatsoever.

'ElkY' Chips Up Against Ferreira

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Kitty Kuo made it 1,600 on a {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop and got callers in Antonio Da Costa Ferreira in the cutoff, and Grospellier on the button. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Kuo checked, allowing Ferreira to bet 3,250. 'ElkY' called and Kuo folded. On the river of the {j-Hearts}, Ferreira kept up the aggression betting 7,750 and Grospellier thought before carefully removing his ornamental Mau5, and raising to 25,550. Ferreira mucked allowing every Twitch fanboy's favourite player to move closer to 100,000 chips.

No Stack in Sight

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Ruben Visser opened to 900 and Jon Clark called, then Mark Mcshane three-bet to 2,700. Visser folded and Clark called to see a flop of {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Clark check-called a continuation bet worth 3,000 before checking down the {K-Spades} turn and {Q-Clubs} river. Mcshane flipped over {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} as winning hand and Clark just shook his head, though he remains the biggest stack with around 54,000 chips.

Guy Goosens, Ruben Visser and Katerina Malasidou are all rather short.

Dato Doubles Through Apmann

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Pre-flop Andrea Dato opened to 900 from the hijack, and 2015 WSOP bracelet winner Adrian Apmann three-bet from the button to 2,350. The blinds folded and action was back on Dato who 4-bet to 6,100.

Apmann thought for a second before moving all-in and Dato called.

Dato: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Apmann: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Dato was behind but the {q-Spades} on the {8-Clubs}{q-Spades}{a-Diamonds} flop helped his cause considerably, and he doubled up to just under 50,000 chips as the board ran out {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Back to Work for MacIntyre

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

The massage ended abruptly, Fraser MacIntyre stood up without being overly upset, smiled and then headed out of the tournament area. The Scot had promised to give 10% of his winnings to each of his parents, whose birthday is today and in two weeks, but that plan will have to be scrapped for now.

"Ah well, back to work. I had ace king and ran into queens. Flopped the nut flush draw and didn't get there," the EPT8 Madrid runner up said.
