Duck, Duck, Goossens

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Short stack Guy Goossens got it in with the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} versus Iliodoros Kamatakis' {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

He was a good bet to double after the {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop, but the {a-Diamonds} turn was not a good card for Goossens. The {7-Diamonds} river didn't help either and Goossens hit the rail.

La Boissonnire Le Busto

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

[Removed:536] open shoved his 240,000-chip stack and Alexandre Meylan looked him up with heaps more.

La Boissonnire's tournament life was riding in the {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} in a race with Meylan's {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Queen's held on a {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Spades} board to knock La Boissonnire out.

Clarke Value Bets Second Pair

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

From the hijack position, Patrick Clarke raised it up to 26,000. Mikhail Petrov in the big blind made the call and the two took a flop of {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Petrov check called a bet of 31,000 and both players checked the {3-Clubs} on the turn.

The {8-Clubs} on the river made Petrov check again. Clarke bet 55,000 and after some tanking, Petrov called. Clarke showed {J-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Petrov mucked.

"Did you try to get me of the chop?" Petrov asked.

"Thought you might call with ace-high" Clarke answered while stacking his newfound chips.

Urbanovich Doubles With Aces

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Action folded to Rhys Jones in the small blind and he limped in. In the big blind, Dzmitry Urbanovich raised to 33,000.

Jones thought about it for a bit before putting in a stack of 25,000-chips worth 400,000 or so. Urbanovich announced all in and it was time to put the cards on their backs.

Rhys Jones: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Dzmitry Urbanovich: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Urbanovich doubled up.

Malone Busted

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Malone changed rather quickly from calling for a ten and no jack, to praying for a jack and no ten, after he got it in with the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} versus Iliodoros Kamatakis's {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and the board rolled out {7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} to the turn.

Unfortunately for him, the {7-Clubs} river was no help and he busted 28th.

Panka Caked

Dominik Panka
Dominik Panka

Patrick Clarke made it 23,000, Dominik Panka pushed in for 230,000 and Clarke made the call with the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Panka's tournament life was riding on the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and he missed on a {j-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} board, busting out.

Sidhu Knocks Out Wigg and Michalak on the Feature Table

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Anton Wigg
Anton Wigg

Anton Wigg with the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Kuljinder Sidhu with the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} got it in before the flop on the feature table. The {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop was good for Wigg, but the {7-Clubs} on the turn meant it was all over already for the former EPT Copenhagen champion. The {Q-Clubs} on the river didn't change a thing and Wigg made his exit.

Not much later, Kuljinder Sidhu was right back at it. From first position he raised to 24,000 and Jakub Michalak in the hijack three-bet to 54,000. Sidhu maden the call and both players checked on {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Sidhu then bet 64,000 on the {7-Hearts} turn and Michalak made the call.

Michalak had 189,000 left by the time the {3-Hearts} completed the board and that was exactly what he had to wager if he wanted to call, as Sidhu moved all in. Michalak thought about it for a fair bit before he called it off with the {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Sidhu showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and took out his second player in a matter of minutes.
