Kolonias Doubles Through Silver

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Ivan Deyra raised to 85,000 and Max Silver made it 1,020,000 from the small blind, putting both Alexandros Kolonias - in the big blind - and the initial raiser all in. Kolonias called all in for 810,000, and Deyra folded.

Kolonias: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Silver: {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Silver pushed his six towards the spot where the dealer was going to put the flop, and the rubbed it on the table in hopes of the deck producing a six for him. The board however ran out {9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Kolonias doubled up.

Stern Tanks; Folds

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The action started with a raise to 100,000 by Anthony Zinno from the cutoff and Imad Derwiche gave it plenty of thought before folding on the button. Zvi Stern then raised to 265,000 in the small blind and [Removed:2] shoved for less than one million. Zinno let go, but Stern asked for a count - it was 975,000 in total.

Stern tanked for some five minutes and Alexandru Papazian then called time. The Israeli stood up from his chair, took the headphones off and took a long sip from his drink. After half a minute, he dropped his cards into the muck.

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Max Silver raised from the button to 90,000 and Rafael Da Silver Moraes thought for a while before moving all in, and Silver stood up right away. The UK pro looked over at the action on the other table, and he threw in the call.

Silver: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Moraes: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{K-Spades} and Silver received a big double up on the final table bubble.

Papazian Caught Again

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} turn, both Zvi Stern and Alexandru Papazian checked. The {7-Clubs} river saw Stern check, Papazian bet 160,000 and the start-of-the-day chip leader gave it some thought.

"I guess I should call," he said and tossed in the chips soon after. Papazian turned over {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Stern claimed the pot with his {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

No High-Five This Time

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Last night towards the end of Day 2, Ivan Deyra high-fived his rail a few times after getting through with a bluff or making good calls to increase his stack. In one of the hands against Max Silver, the Brit was smiling and even high-fived the Frenchman after having just lost a pot to him.

Just now, Deyra raised to 70,000 from the button and Saar Wilf in the small blind as well as Silver in the big blind called. On the {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, the action was checked to Deyra and he continued for 111,000. Only Silver called and the duo then checked through the {A-Clubs} turn. On the {5-Hearts} river, Silver checked and Deyra fired a bet worth 170,000.

Silver spent a long time in the think tank and released his cards to see Deyra show his bluff with the {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. He walked over to a friend on the rail and quietly shook his hand while Silver showed no emotion.

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Zvi Stern opened to 60,000 from under the gun and [Removed:2] then moved all in from one seat over. Alexandru Papazian was next to act and asked for a count, which was determined to be 642,000 in total. Papazian then reshoved for more than 1.6 million and that got everyone to fold including the initial raiser.

"I would have called," Stern said and showed his {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

Maksoud: {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Papazian: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Maksoud doubled to get back into contention.

Derwiche Flops Gin With Deuce-Four

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Imad Derwiche was knocked down to just 213,000 before he just shoved from the button, and Zvi Stern called from the small blind.

Stern: {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Derwiche: {4-Spades}{2-Spades}

The flop brought {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Spades} and Derwiche flopped a flush to almost secure a double up. On the turn the {10-Spades} hit, to give Stern chop outs if a spade higher than the four would pop up, but the river wast he {2-Diamonds} to give Derwiche a double up.
