Spinella Spun

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Anthony Spinella
Anthony Spinella

Portugal's Michel Dattani opened with a bet of 4,500 that both Patrik Antonius and Vanessa Selbst called.

Anthony Spinella then woke up with a raising hand in the small blind, making it 18,500. Dattani shipped it in for around 95,000 total, and after it folded back to Spinella, he made the call, showing the {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

Dattani had two overs in the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, and spiked one on the the {10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop, holding through the {7-Spades} turn and {6-Spades} river to double up to double the average, and leave Spinella wondering what could have been.

Daher Dusts Off Cimbolas

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Matas Cimbolas - Albert Daher
Matas Cimbolas - Albert Daher

The action folded around to Matas Cimbolas in the small blind and he shoved for 38,000 with the {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Big stack Albert Daher called with {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} and improved on the flop and river of a board {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Daher was stacking his chips somewhat awkwardly, but the table broke straight after and he put them in racks to get a better idea of his count.

Kamprath Busts, van Zadelhoff Bosses Around

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Michael Kamprath open-shoved his last 25,000 from the small blind with {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and picked an unfortunate timing as Peter Akery snap-called from one seat over with the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. Kamprath was drawing dead after the turn of a board {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Akery increased his stack.

Steven van Zadelhoff shortly after spiked trips sevens with {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and was paid off nicely by Faraz Jaka to get up to more than two times the average.

They Are Doing Just Fine

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Govert Metaal raised to 5,000 and picked up a call by Atanas Malinov in the big blind. On the {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop both checked and Malinov then bet the {10-Spades} turn for 9,000. Metaal called to see the {9-Spades} river and Malinov now fired a bet worth 23,000.

After some consideration, Metaal called and the Bulgarian mucked his cards immediately.

On tables nearby, Adrian Allain, Jan Bendik and Paolo Compagno are all having very solid days while Thomas Miller lost his remaining chips with kings to ace-queen.

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Kavrakov's {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flipped but failed to hold up on a board of {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Ole Schemion bought in on Day 2 of this event - while still being in a postponed heads-up battle with Fabian Quoss for the €50,000 Single Day High Roller title - and he ran up a big stack almost right away.

After picking up pocket aces, Schemion doubled and maxed out at 140,000, but it was all downhill from there.

Just now Patrice Chamarre raised to 3,500 and Andrei Boghean three-bet to 11,300 from the before the action folded to Schemion in the big blind. Schemion moved all in for 45,900 and Boghean snap-called after Chamarre folded.

Schemion: {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Chamarre: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Schemion was knocked out.

Thi Xoa Nguyen
Thi Xoa Nguyen

Thi Xoa Nguyen is making huge strides up the leader board right now, moving into the top ten with over 240,000.

Her latest drive up the counts came when Gerhard Mair bet 14,000 into a pot of around 50,000 on the river of a {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} board.

Nguyen though about it for about 45 seconds before sliding in a raise to 32,400. Mair took even less time to fold, and hand her the substantial pot.

Sammartino Takes from Chmielewski ... Again

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Joining the action on the {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop with plenty of chips in the middle, Marcin Chmielewski led for 16,700 from the small blind and Dario Sammartino called. The {5-Clubs} came on the turn and the Pole fired a second barrel worth 35,000, picking up a call by Sammartino. After the {4-Clubs} river, both checked and Sammartino's {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} won the pot.
