Aliyev, Danchev and Deadman fold to Shoves

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On the stone cold bubble, the action slows down as usual and players give it plenty of time before making their decision.

Albert Daher open-shoved from the small blind into Simon Deadman and the Brit tanked, guessed his opponent had six-seven. The clock was called on him and tournament director Thomas Lamatsch came over for the countdown.

"Can you confirm that there is no all in?" Deadman asked Lamatsch and received a "I can only confirm that you have 30 seconds left" in return. The Brit then folded and Daher revealed {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

Dimitar Danchev folded to a shove by Fabio Sperling, as did Kamran Aliyev on the {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop after having bet 10,000. Pierre Huter shoved and the player from Azerbaijan folded.

Kamar Doubles Through Lambertz

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The following hand happened just before the clock was paused.

Felix Lambertz three-bet out of the blinds from 9,000 to 28,000 and initial raiser Fady Kamar called. On the {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, Lambertz check-called a bet by Kamar and the {3-Hearts} hit on the turn. Lambertz checked, Kamar shoved and was called by the German with three-nine off suit for two pair.

Kamar held {A-Spades}{9-Spades} for middle pair only and the {A-Diamonds} river kept him in, leaving Lambertz short. Other players in the red zone include Kyle Frey and Benjamin Pollak.

Juanda Soft-Bubbles The EPT Grand Final Main Event

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
John Juanda
John Juanda

The tournament is now on the official money bubble, as John Juanda has been knocked out. Juanda raised before the flop to 11,500 and Juan Etcheverry three-bet to 27,000. Juanda went into the tank for quite a while before moving all in, and Etcheverry called right away.

Juanda was at risk for about 160,000 chips, and the showdown went as follows.

Etcheverry: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}
Juanda: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Juanda gathered his belongings before headed to the exit.

Soika Doubles Through Seidel

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Over on the feature table, Ihar Soika checked out of the big blind on the flop {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and then called a bet worth 25,000 by Erik Seidel. On the {5-Spades} turn, Soika checked again and Seidel led for 43,000.

Soika only had 84,000 left and gave it some time before shoving all in with the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} to receive a quick call by Seidel with {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. The {A-Clubs} river changed nothing whatsoever and Soika scored a nice double.

Zervos Gets Huge

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

It has been a good day thus far for Alexios Zervos, and that got even better just now. The board was completed reading {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and Luigi Grisa bet 32,000. Zervos was sitting in the big blind and tanked for some time before the clock was called on him. The Greek had defended and check-called two barrels before Grisa shot a third one

The Greek eventually called and tabled {10-Clubs}{8-Spades} while Grisa showed {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Soon after, Zervos three-bet and faced a four-bet to 45,000 behind him. It was then initial raiser Grisa that jammed 120,000 with ace-king and Zervos snapped him off with kings to take the rest from Grisa as well.

Bubble Double For Dowling

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Chris Dowling
Chris Dowling

While we're not on the official bubble yet with 169 players remaining and 159 places paid, it must feel like a bubble double for Chris Dowling who seems to be safe to get paid after this hand.

Ivan Deyra just raised to 9,000 and from his left Dowling three-bet to 23,500. The action folded to Deyra and he put Dowling all in for 86,500 total.

Dowling: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Deyra: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Dowling doubled up.
