Allain On Top

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Adrien Allain
Adrien Allain

Adrien Allain is the new chip leader and start-of-day leader Marcin Chmielewski is out.

The hand that made all the difference saw Chmielewski get it in with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} after Allain had flopped a flush on what was ultimately a {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs} board.

Vieira Battles Selbst

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Vanessa Selbst
Vanessa Selbst

Joao Vieira made it 54,000 under the gun and Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst bumped it to 121,000 right behind him. It folded back and Vieira called, sending them heads up to a {10-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop. Both players checked, but when Vieira checked the {a-Hearts} turn, Selbst bet 142,000.

Vieira called and the river came the {a-Diamonds}. Vieira checked, and called immediately after Selbst bet 370,000. She had the {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs} missed flush draw and Vieira's {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} had filled up.

She shoved relatively short right after and he called, defending his big blind with the {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Selbst doubled back to respectability with the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} on a 4c4s4d7d3d] run out.

Vieira Sends Soika Home

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Ihar Soika just moved all in from the cutoff and Joao Vieira three-bet all in from the small blind, and Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst gave up her big blind. Soika's shove was for 250,000 and the showdown went as follows.

Soika: {J-Spades}{9-Spades}
Selbst: {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Soika was sent to the rail.

Rosen Pulls Off a Big Move

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Oren Rosen
Oren Rosen

Adrien Allain just raised to 52,000 and three players called, including Andrea Rocci in the cutoff and Oren Rosen on the button.

The flop brought out {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and the action was checked to Rocci who bet 100,000 and only Rosen called.

On the turn the {9-Hearts} hit and Rocci checked to Rosen who bet 135,000. Rocci called, and the river was the {6-Clubs}.

Rocci checked again, and now Rosen fired out 330,000.

Rocci went into the tank for several minutes, and eventually he folded the {J-Hearts} face up. Rosen immediately tabled {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for a mere pair of kings.

Bendik Busts Lew and Dowling

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

PokerStars Team Online member Randy Lew has just been knocked out, and Chris Dowling fell on the same hand to former EPT Player of the Year Jan Bendik.

Lew told us how Bendik raised after which he moved all in for 500,000 with {A-}{Q-} and Dowling called all in for 400,000 with {9-}{9-}. Bendik called with aces, and the board brought mere blanks to send two players to the rail on the last level of the day.

Rocci Railed, Allain Up

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

A bit of a cooler has sent Andrea Rocci to the rail and allowed Adrien Allain to extend his chip lead.

Rocci got the last of his chips in the middle after turning two pair with the {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} on a {7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} board. Unfortunately for him, Allain had flopped two pair with the {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The {k-Spades} river was a brick and Rocci said goodbye.
