Guerrero Wins a Sizable Pot

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

From first position, Jan Bendik raised to 85,000. He was called by cutoff Joao Vieira before Jimmy Guerrero squeezed to 240,000 from the small blind. Bendik called, Vieira folded.

Both players checked on {5-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and the {2-Hearts} hit the turn. Guerrero bet 200,000 and was soon facing a raise to 460,000. Guerrero called, and both players checked the {7-Hearts} on the river.

Guerrero showed {J-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and made a small fist pump after Bendik mucked.

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Nguyen was knocked out in 14th place. Nguyen was the last woman standing in the tournament, and 13 men remain to battle for the EPT Grand Final title.

Andy Andrejevic Eliminated in 15th Place (€47,980)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Andy Andrejevic
Andy Andrejevic

Antoine Saout was first to act and made it 95,000. Action folded around pretty quickly to big blind Andy Andrejevic. The last standing American shoved all in for what appeared to be just under 800,000. Saout called.

Andy Andrejevic: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Antoine Saout: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}

The {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} didn't do anything for anyone really, but the {9-Spades} on the turn gave Andrejevic some additional outs. The {Q-Diamonds} on the river was a blank though, and Andrejevic made his exit.

Ariel Celestino

As Fabio Sperling got knocked out on the adjacent table, another big hand was ongoing on the secondary outer table.

Antoine Saout raised to 80,000 and Ariel Celestino called from the big blind, putting {Q-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{7-Clubs} on the flop.

Both players checked on the flop, and the turn was the {2-Hearts}. Celestino check-called a bet of 100,000.

The river was the {K-Clubs} and now Celestino checked, only to see that Saout put him all in for about 400,000.

After two minutes Celestino called, and saw Saout turn out {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for two pair. Celestino showed his {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and he got sent to the rail.

The tournament is now on a 20-minute break, the full redraw with chip counts will follow shortly.

Fabio Sperling
Fabio Sperling

Fabio Sperling raised his button and was soon facing a three-bet from small blind Pierre Calamusa. The big blind folded and Sperling shoved for about 750,000. Calamusa called.

Fabio Sperling: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Pierre Calamusa: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The flop came {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, making Sperling on the lookout for a king or running fives for a chop to stay alive.

The {10-Clubs} on the turn left him just two outs, and neither would pop up on the river as the {7-Clubs} completed the board.

Erwann Pecheux
Erwann Pecheux

Erwann Pecheux was down to his last 460,000 and moved those in from the cutoff. Action folded to big blind Adrien Allain and he had no real decision. He instantly called and had his cards face up before Peheux even had the chance to.

Adrien Allain: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Erwann Pecheux: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The flop came {8-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, giving Pecheux a pair. The {4-Diamonds} on the turn and {9-Spades} on the river failed to improve him, and the Frenchman hit the rail in 18th place, netting him €37,330. The remaining 17 players are guaranteed €42,650 from here on out.
