Leonard Runs the Table

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Chipleader Patrick Leonard just won three consecutive hands.

In the first, Yan opened under the gun to 9,000 and to his immediate left, Ole Schemion made it 29,000 to go. In the big blind, Leonard threw in a hefty four-bet.

Even before he had counted out his chips for the raise, both, Yan and Schemion, folded.

In the next hand, Leonard completed the small bind and Yan raised to 20,000. Leonard came back over the top and Yan folded immediately.

The third pot did go to the flop when Leonard made it 9,000 from the button and Schemion defended his big blind.

The flop came {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and both checked to the {2-Diamonds} on the turn. Schemion checked again, only to check-fold when Leonard made a bet of 15,000.

These hands catipulted Leonard over the 500,000-mark.

Ramin Hajiyev: {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Petrangelo Flips Out Of It

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

Nick Petrangelo, who won the €10,300 High Roller at EPT Barcelona for €413,000, won't be adding a second EPT title this season yet. After Gruissem raised to 9,500, Petrangelo shoved all in for around 40,000. Gruissem didn't call right away, but with the great price on his money he didn't wait too long to put the extra chips in.

Nick Petrangelo: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Philipp Gruissem: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The flop {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades} was safe for Petrangelo, as was the {10-Hearts} on the turn. Jokingly, Petrangelo tried to prevent the river from being dealt, but unfaced, the dealer went right through his hands to deal it.

After Petrangelo removed his hands to make the river visible, the {A-Clubs} was staring back at him, giving Gruissem the winner and ending Petrangelo's run in 15th place.

Mateos Shuts Down

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Adrian Mateos opened with a raise to 6,500 in middle position. Both Philipp Gruissem in the small blind and Max Silver in the big blind called the raise. The flop came {K-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}, which prompted a bet of 11,000 from Mateos. Only Gruissem made the call.

On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Gruissem check-called a 28,000 bet from Mateos. The river {7-Spades} paired the board and both players quickly checked.

Gruissem showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} to take down the pot.

It was folded around to Oleksii Khoroshenin on the button and he made it 7,000 to go. Adrian Mateos defended his big blind and the two saw the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop.

Mateos checked, Khoroshenin continued for 6,000 and Mateos check-raised to 15,000. Khoroshenin popped it up once more, making it 41,000 to go. That was too much for Mateos and the Spaniard folded his cards.

Sannier Doubles Through Sammartino

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Dario Sammartino opened to 7,000 for the second hand in a row. In the previous hand, he folded after Philipp Gruissem three-betted. Now Allan Sannier was his only customer, making the call from the big blind.

Both players checked the {8-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop and the {J-Diamonds} fell on the turn. After a second check from Sannier, Sammartino made a delayed continuation bet of 7,200.

Sannier called and the {5-Spades} hit the river. This time, it was Sannier who took the betting lead, firing 22,000. Sammartino put Sannier to the test by raising him all in. The Frenchman called for 49,800 total.

Sammartino opened {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} for nothing but a busted straight draw. Sannier tabled {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and doubled up.

Yaghmai Busts As Schemion Empties the Clip

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Nariman Yaghmai
Nariman Yaghmai

Nariman Yaghmai raised to 8,000 and two positions over, Ole Schemion three-bet to 20,500 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Yaghmai and he called.

The two got a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} to work with and Yaghmai check-called a bet of 18,000. The same happened on the {7-Diamonds}-turn with Yaghmai this time check-calling 40,500. With the {10-Clubs} completing the board, Yaghmai checked a third time. Schemion moved all in for 105,300 and Yaghmai went deep into the tank. After some minutes, he called. Schemion showed {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} for the over-pair and Yaghmai mucked his {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

The next hand saw under the gun player Patrick Leonard open to 6,500. Yaghmai moved all in for his last 8,000 and Ole Schemion isolated with a raise to 22,500. Everyone, including Leonard, folded and it was time for Schemion and Yaghmai to open their cards once more.

Ole Schemion: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Nariman Yaghmai: {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Yaghmai made his exit. Schemion, meanwhile, up to almost 400,000.
