Viacheslav Buldygin Doubles

Down to his last 27,800, Viacheslav Buldygin moved in from the hijack. Small blind Adrian Mateos asked how much it was and moved in upon finding out. Philipp Gruissem in the big blind looked at his cards one by one, seemed excited about the first one, but folded upon after looking at his second card.

Buldygin was happy with the situation, having a fair chance to double up. "Yes!" he shouted.

"You're celebrating quite early sir," Charlie Carrel said as the dealer put out the -flop.

The on the turn was a good card for Buldygin and after the on the river he was guaranteed the double up. He now plays just under 60,000 while Mateos is down to just 33,000.

Kolonias Jams into Schemion

Alexandros Kolonias raised to 4,500 and Patrick Leonard on the button as well as Ole Schemion in the big blind came along. On the flop, no betting action took place. After the fell on the turn, Schemion checked and Kolonias bet 8,000. Leonard called and Schemion then check-raised to 30,000. Only Kolonias tossed in the extra chips to see the appear on the river.

Schemion checked and Kolonias let more than two minutes pass before moving all in, forcing a quick fold from Schemion.

Re-Entry Unsuccesful For Troyanovskiy

Vladimir Troyanovskiy showed up at the start of day 2, opting to re-enter with a stack of 25 big blinds. The Russian was down to 18 of those when Orpen Kisacikoglu opened on the button to 5,000. Troyanovski was in the small blind and shoved all his chips in the middle. Back on Kisacikoglu, the Turk snap-called the shove.

Greendwood and Chidwick Under Pressure

In a battle of the blinds, Sam Greenwood bet the turn for 6,200 into a pot of around 10,500 and Ramin Hajiyev in the big blind raised to 17,400. Greenwood folded.

Soon after, Stephen Chidwick raised to 4,000 and folded to the shove of Greenwood from one seat over.

Chidwick himself defended his big blind against the open raise to 4,500 by Mikita Badziakouski. On the flop, Chidwick bet 4,500 and Badziakouski raised enough to put Chidwick at risk if he'd call. The Brit elected to fold instead.

Greenwood then had to give up a pot against Andras Nemeth to fall back to starting stack.

Khoroshenin and Leonard Tangle Right Away

Patrick Leonard and Oleksii Khoroshenin, the two chipeaders in this tournament, are seated together at table 1. They got involved in a big pot in one of the first few hands of the day.

Leonard raised to 4,500 and Khoroshenin called from the button, big blind Max Silver came along as well.

Silver checked to Leonard on the flop and the chipleader continued for 10,000. Khoroshenin tanked for a minuted and called. Silver got out of the way quickly.

The landed on the turn, this time Leonard fired out a bet of 24,000. Again, Khoroshenin took his time before he called.

The completed the board and after some thought, Leonard checked to his opponent. Khoroshenin also took a couple of minutes before sliding out a bet of 67,000.

"That was a nasty river", Leonard said, before he let go of his, which made it Khoroshenin the new chipleader of this High Roller.

Morten Mortensen was first to act and raised to, what we believe was 5,100. Adrian Mateos called on the button and big blind Scott Seiver came along for the ride as well.

The flop came and Seiver and Mortensen both checked. Mateos bet 7,500 and just Seiver called, Mortensen folded. Seiver check-called another 22,000 on the turn before the completed the board.

Seiver checked and Mateos thought about it for a fair bit before checking behind. Seiver said "Queen", showing and Mateos mucked.

"If I thought you were gonna bet I had this whole speech prepared, 'You have black nines, don't do it" but it's still early and I'm tired" Seiver said. The speech wasn't needed, Seiver took it down without a chip going in on the river.

Paul Newey Eliminated Right Off The Bat

Yesterday, British High Roller Paul Newey was eliminated in the last hand of the day, but he bought himself back in for a second chance on day 2. Unfortunately for Newey, his second attempt ended on the first hand he played.
