On the three-way flop of , Victor Ilyukhin checked in the big blind and Thomas Rauhut bet 1,500. Pierre Neuville called on the button and Ilyukhin folded. On the turn, Rauhut checked, Neuville bet 2,200 and Rauhut called within one second. Both then checked again the on the river and Rauhut turned over the .
Neuville studied the board for a few seconds and slid his cards into the muck.
Sergey Sergeev was down to only 10,000 chips but just found his much-needed double up.
It was Morten Mortensen who opened the hand with a raise to 750. Sergeev called from the button only to see big blind James Akenhead throw in a three-bet to 3,000.
Mortensen called, as did Sergeev. The flop came down and Akenhead continued for another 3,000. Mortensen called and Sergeev moved in for 7,250 total.
Akenhead immediately folded but Mortensen made the call.

Sergeev flopped trips and was in great shape to double up. Mortensen needed running kings or aces but was left drawing dead when the hit the turn.
He did improve with the on the river but thad didn't matter anymore.
Martin Finger, Juha Helppi, Morten Mortensen and Pratyush Buddiga have joined Day 1a. Helppi was sat at a table with Aleksandar Spadijer, Senh Ung, Fabrice Soulier and Vlado Banicevic whereas Buddiga faces Ben Heath one seat over. Last but not least, Mortensen joined the likes of Konstantinos Nanos, Jorryt van Hoof and James Akenhead.
Brian Altman raised to 550 from under the gun and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 1,500 from one seat over, Altman called. On the flop, Altman check-called a bet worth 2,000 and the duo then checked the on the turn. On the river, Altman checked and Mateos bet 5,800.
Altman pushed all in and had Mateos well covered. The Spaniard asked the usual "will you show if I fold?" question but didn't get any immediate answer. Mateos then folded and Altman grinned over with the words "I never show."
One hand later, Nick Petrangelo raised to 400 and Koray Aldemir on the button and Altman in the big blind called. The flop came and Altman checked, Petrangelo bet 750 and Aldemir folded, Altman called. Again the on the turn went check, check and Altman then bet the river for 1,200.
Petrangelo gave it some thought and called, but didn't have to show anything as Altman quickly mucked his cards.
Roman Korenev raised to 500 and both players in the blinds including Tibor Nagygyorgy called. On the flop there was no betting action. The small blind then checked the on the turn and Nagygyorgy bet 775, just Korenev called.
On the river, the Hungarian checked and Korenev's bet of 2,200 forced a fold.
Jens Luebbe raised it up to 500 from first position. It was folded around to James Akenhead on the button. He popped it up to 1,400 and after the blinds folded, it was back to Luebbe.
The German made the call and check-called a 1,600 bet on the . The both checked the turn and the on the river.
Bart Fergiatakis was down a little bit but just got back to the starting amount of 30,000 chips.
He bet 6,000 into a 10,000-pot on the river. The board was and it was checked to him by Pasquale Grimaldi. The Italian thought for half a minute and called.
He mucked his cards when Fergiatakis showed him for a turned flush.
Connor Drinan raised to 550 and received four callers including Stephen Chidwick and Romal Jaweed. The flop came and action checked to Chidwick, who bet 800. Only Jaweed called and the appeared on the turn. Chidwick now bet 2,000 and Jaweed min-raised to 4,000, Chidwick called.
After the on the river, both players checked and Chidwick was the first after the button to show his first. Jaweed mucked and the pot was shipped to Chidwick.
