Neuville Can't Beat Tens

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

On the three-way flop of {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Victor Ilyukhin checked in the big blind and Thomas Rauhut bet 1,500. Pierre Neuville called on the button and Ilyukhin folded. On the {Q-Diamonds} turn, Rauhut checked, Neuville bet 2,200 and Rauhut called within one second. Both then checked again the {4-Hearts} on the river and Rauhut turned over the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Neuville studied the board for a few seconds and slid his cards into the muck.

Sergeey Doubles Through Mortensen

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Sergey Sergeev was down to only 10,000 chips but just found his much-needed double up.

It was Morten Mortensen who opened the hand with a raise to 750. Sergeev called from the button only to see big blind James Akenhead throw in a three-bet to 3,000.

Mortensen called, as did Sergeev. The flop came down {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Akenhead continued for another 3,000. Mortensen called and Sergeev moved in for 7,250 total.

Akenhead immediately folded but Mortensen made the call.

Morten Mortensen: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Sergey Sergeev: {3-Spades}{5-Spades}

Sergeev flopped trips and was in great shape to double up. Mortensen needed running kings or aces but was left drawing dead when the {7-Hearts} hit the turn.

He did improve with the {K-Clubs} on the river but thad didn't matter anymore.

Action with Altman

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Brian Altman
Brian Altman

Brian Altman raised to 550 from under the gun and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 1,500 from one seat over, Altman called. On the {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop, Altman check-called a bet worth 2,000 and the duo then checked the {3-Spades} on the turn. On the {4-Spades} river, Altman checked and Mateos bet 5,800.

Altman pushed all in and had Mateos well covered. The Spaniard asked the usual "will you show if I fold?" question but didn't get any immediate answer. Mateos then folded and Altman grinned over with the words "I never show."

One hand later, Nick Petrangelo raised to 400 and Koray Aldemir on the button and Altman in the big blind called. The flop came {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Altman checked, Petrangelo bet 750 and Aldemir folded, Altman called. Again the {10-Hearts} on the turn went check, check and Altman then bet the {J-Diamonds} river for 1,200.

Petrangelo gave it some thought and called, but didn't have to show anything as Altman quickly mucked his cards.

Fergiatakis Gets Paid

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Bart Fergiatakis was down a little bit but just got back to the starting amount of 30,000 chips.

He mucked his cards when Fergiatakis showed him {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a turned flush.
