Nemeth Slipping

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

End of Day 1 chipleader Andras Nemeth just dropped a bunch of chips to Hady El Asmar of Lebanon. On a board of {8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Nemeth tried to pick up the pot with a bet of 28,000, holding nothing but {Q-}{J-}. El Asmar wasn't scared away and called with {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} to scoop up the already sizable pot.

Montury and Spadijer Claim Pots

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

On the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{K-Diamonds} turn, Aleksandar Spadijer checked and Martin Staszko bet 8,000 from one seat over in under the gun. Spadijer check-raised all in and Staszko let go.

One table over, the board {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{K-Hearts} was already complete and Jean Montury bet 4,500. Alexandru Baron, who finished 11th at the EPT13 Barcelona Main Event, raised to 10,500 and Montury quickly called. Baron showed {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Montury had that beat with {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Michiel Brosky Eliminated

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We noticed Michiel Brosky standing at the rail. Asking him for his exit, Brosky told us he got it in with pocket nines in the small blind against a button raise from Xixiang Luo. Unfortunately for Brosky, Luo held pocket queens and sent the Dutchman packing.

Di Carlo Doubles Through Kane

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

On the river of a board {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Nicolino Di Carlo got his last 15,100 in from the cutoff and Michael Kane called with the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}. "Aces?" Kane asked and indeed Di Carlo turned over the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} for the better set to double through. Kane remained well above average though while Di Carlo recovered some earlier losses.

Bojang Takes from Geilich

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Ismael Bojang raised from under the gun and Ludovic Geilich three-bet to 7,500 from one seat over, Bojang called. On the {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop, Bojang check-called a bet of 6,000 and the duo then checked the {K-Diamonds} on the turn. The {3-Clubs} river was checked again by Bojang and Geilich checked back.

Bojang showed the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Geilich mucked the {A-Hearts}. "That's the second time you dominated me," Geilich added and Bojang replied "I only play good hands" with a big smile on the face.

Charlie Carrel

Yesterday, Charlie Carrel finished 3rd in the €10,300 Single-Day High Roller, walking away with €170,754 after a three-way deal. Today however, he met his demise in the Main Event.

Plenty of Notables on the Rail

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The day started well for George Danzer as he first made plenty of chips and was up to 48,000. Then, Paul Newey flopped two pair with {8-Spades}{6-Spades} against the {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} of Danzer and the {8-Clubs} on the turn even made Newey a full house. Danzer was done to 20,000 and never recovered from that, busted soon after.

Also on the rail: Lucas Blanco and Mikhail Petrov.
