Georgios Zisimopoulos Eliminated

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Georgios Zisimopoulos
Georgios Zisimopoulos

Guillaume Diaz opened to 3,000 in late position. Behind him, Georgios Zisimopoulos three-bet to 7,700. Diaz moved all in to, slightly covering Zisimopoulos, and the Greek EPT regular called it off.

Guillaume Diaz: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Georgios Zisimopoulos: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

It was a classic race, which got even more exciting with the {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop. Zisimo's outs didn't show up on the {5-Clubs} turn nor {10-Clubs} river, sending him packing early on Day 2.

Kings Cost McCartney Chips

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Mark Wagstaff raised to 2,000 from first positon. It was folded around to Paul McCartney on the button and he raised to 5,000. Wagstaff called.

The flop was {4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn brought the {3-Spades} and Wagstaff check-called a bet of 5,000. The river was the {5-Clubs} and now Wagstaff slid out a bet of 6,000.

McCartney wasn't happy with it but still opted to call. Wagstaff tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} for the straight. McCartney slammed his {K-}{K-} on the felt in frustration. "O my God", he sighed as he started counting his remaining chips.

Darya Hulyk
Darya Hulyk

Darya Hulyk has lost a big portion of her stack. She just faced a 15,500 river bet by Aliaksei Boika. The board was {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Hulyk needed some minutes to think.

She finally threw in three blue 5,000-chips and one pink 500 one to call. Boika showed {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the flush and Hulyk showed a little frustration when she mucked.

Counts

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Michalak Among the Early Seat Open

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Jakub Michalak
Jakub Michalak

Jakub Michalak won the €10,300 Single-Day High Roller last night after cutting a three-way deal, and the former ISPT Wembley champion and top five ranked online player in Poland was just standing outside of the tournament area.

A quick chat revealed that he had busted. According to Michalak, he opened to 2,500 from the hijack with the {J-Spades}{9-Spades} and Guillaume Valle three-bet to 6,500 out of the small blind. Michalak called and the flop came {K-Spades}{10-}{6-} rainbow.

Valle bet 7,000 and Michalak called before the {8-Spades} on the turn gave him an open-ended straight draw and flush draw. Valle bet 14,000 and again Michalak called.

On the {9-Clubs} river, Valle checked and Michalak shoved for pot-size. Valle looked him up with {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a straight and Michalak was gone, he could still laugh about it though. "At least I won last night," he added with a grin on the face.

Also eliminated: Russell Thomas, IPT High Roller champion [Removed:551] and Peter Eichhardt.

Ho Chipping Up

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

The first level of the day has been good to Maria Ho so far. She more than doubled her stack by winning several smaller pots.

In one of them, she made a bet of 3,400 on a {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}{J-Diamonds} flop and got called by Paul McCartney. Mark Wagstaff who came along preflop, folded and it was heads-up to the turn.

The turn card was the {10-Hearts} and Ho fired again, this time for 5,600. McCartney directly folded his hand and Ho stacked some chips.

She then won some more against Sergey Sergeev. On a {K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{J-Spades} she slid out a bet of 9,300. Sergeev tanked for a short moment but eventually folded and Ho gained some more.
