Pollak Flops Well and Gets Paid

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Felipe Costa raised and Benjamin Pollak defended his big blind to see a flop of {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Pollak checked, Costa continued for 5,000 and was called. On the {4-Clubs} turn, Pollak bet 4,000 and Costa called before the Brazilian then faced a bet worth 26,000 on the {K-Spades} river.

"I have two pair," Costa said and called shortly after, then shook his head when Pollak had turned over his {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for a slow-played full house. Costa briefly showed his {A-}{K-} and was left short.

"One Time I Like"

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Nicaraguan Armando Collado Lanuza, who accidentally folded to the nut low earlier, saw his Main Event dream almost get shattered in a big preflop clash.

Collado was at risk holding {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} versus the pocket kings of Ibrahim Ghassan. All the money went in preflop, creating a pot of over 150,000.

"One time I like," begged Collado, using his one-timer already on Day 2.

The dealer complied by dealing an ace on the flop and keeping the kings in the deck. A cheerful Collado stacked up the chips and is on his way to his first EPT cash ever.

Baumann Doubles Again

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Gaelle Baumann has doubled up a few times already today, then lost some chips again only to double her short stack. It was such a time once again, as Baumann shoved her last 12,700. Eugene Katchalov flat-called from one seat over in the hijack and the rest of the table folded.

Gaelle Baumann: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Eugene Katchalov: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

The board came {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and the pair of deuces held up for Baumann.

Yurasov Busts Calamusa and Dominates Table

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Pierre Calamusa
Pierre Calamusa

Dmitry Yurasov took a smaller pot off Gaelle Baumann and could even afford to fold to a four-bet shove by Dan Shak. But then, he claimed the entire stack of Pierre Calamusa when the two most aggressive players at the table clashed.

Calamusa raised to 5,500 and Yurasov three-bet to 16,000 in the small blind. Calamusa four-bet to 37,000 and Yurasov called. On the {J-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, Yurasov check-called a continuation bet worth 30,000 and checked again the {7-Spades} on the turn. Calamusa shoved for 60,000 and received a snap-call.

Pierre Calamusa: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Dmitry Yurasov: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

Only a ten could save the Frenchman, but instead it was the {Q-Diamonds} that sent him to the rail and let Yurasov's mountain of chips grow even bigger.

Costa Doubles Through Odeen

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Action folded around to Felipe Costa in the small blind, who moved all in for 41,700. Jerry Odeen gave it some thought, then committed the call.

Felipe Costa: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Jerry Odeen: {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

It's usually never easy when at risk, but this time Costa breezed through on {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and doubled up.

Joris Ruijs Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Under the gun, Joris Ruijs open-shoved for 33,100 total. Thibault Letort reshoved from the small blind to put Ruijs at risk.

Joris Ruijs: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Thibault Letort: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

Ruijs lost a chunk of his stack earlier with pocket jacks versus pocket aces, and once again found his jacks crushed by a better pair. The online phenom got no help from the {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Spades} board, and the Dutchman will miss out on the money.

Saad Lets Franczak Pay

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Benjamin Pollak raised to 6,000 and Piotr Franczak called. Elie Saad came along from the small blind as well.

The three saw the {7-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop and it was checked Franczak. He bet 8,500 and only Saad called.

The {Q-Spades} fell on the turn and now it was Saad's turn to bet. He threw in four blue 5,000-chips for a total bet of 20,000 and Franczak did the same.

Saad fired again when the {3-Hearts} hit the river. This time the amount was 30,000 and Franczak called again.

Saad showed {A-Spades}{2-Spades} for the nut flush and Franczak mucked.

Grochulski's Aces Leave Kowalski Short

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

John Gulino raised to 5,200 from under the gun and Jaroslaw Kowalski called from one seat over. The action folded to Grzegorz Grochulski and he three-bet to 15,600 out of the big blind. Gulino folded, but Kowalski moved all in and received a snap-call by Grochulski.

Grzegorz Grochulski: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Jaroslaw Kowalski: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The board came {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Grochulski doubled for around 60,000, leaving his fellow countryman short.
