Korenev Cut Short

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Just before the level ended, Roman Korenev on the hijack and Ibrahim Ghassan got into a raising war. The latter ended up all in for his last 46,500 and Korenev looked him up with the slightly inferior pocket pair.

Ibrahim Ghassan: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Roman Korenev: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Korenev was cut down to just 10 big blinds for the next level.

Mancini Doubles Up Scholten; Then Busts

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With the flop of {7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} spread out on the board, Angelo Mancini bet 4,500. It was up to Freek Scholten in first position and the dutchman check raised to 16,000.

It took Mancini a couple of minutes to make the call. The {5-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Scholten moved all in for 42,000.

Again, Mancini needed several minutes but he called in the end. "Queens", Scholten said as he opened {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

His overpair was good against Mancini's {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for top pair.

The river was the unevenful {8-Spades} and Scholten doubled up.

Meanwhile, Mancini was only left with 300 chips and he lost those in the next hand.

His last chips went to Konstantin Kazaev. Mancini had {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and did pair his king, but Kazaev made a set of sixes.

Yurasov Wins Big From Lee

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The board read {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Song Hun Lee check-called a 14,400 bet from Dmitry Yurasov. The river was the {J-Spades} and Lee leaned over to get a good look on Yurasov's remaining stack.

Apparently satisfied with what he saw, Lee splashed a massive bet of 55,000 into the pot, nearly all of Yurasov's remaining chips. The Russian was taken aback by the bet, but eventually counted out a call.

Lee showed {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for the rivered two pair, but Yurasov held {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for bottom set to claim the big pot.

"Nice hand man," said Lee, complimenting his opponent.

Spindler Busts to Chidwick on the Feature Table

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Benny Spindler
Benny Spindler

On the feature table, Benny Spindler shoved for his last 14,900 from the hijack and the action folded around to Stephen Chidwick in the big blind. He peeked at his cards and then called quickly.

Benny Spindler: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Stephen Chidwick: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The flop of {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} didn't help Spindler and he was drawing dead after the {Q-Hearts} turn, making the {Q-Spades} on the river a formality.

"Every Damn Pair"

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Yesterday Dietrich fast was wearing a shirt with a slogan that indicated he was never beaten, then paid off a full house. Today, the German wears a shirt with "every damn pair" and that's what he just had to send Mikalai Vaskaboinikau packing.

On the {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, Vaskaboinikau bet 7,400 and Fast called on the button.

The {J-Clubs} on the river completed the board and the Belorusian checked. Fast bet 22,000 and Vaskaboinikau shoved for around 40,000 after some consideration. Fast snap-called with {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a full house and his opponent mucked.
