Schemion and Iliakis Shake Hands

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Ole Schemion and Nikolaos Iliakis just clashed in a small pot that could have gotten far bigger. In the cutoff, Schemion made it 1,700 to go and Iliakis three-bet to 4,200 on the button, Schemion called. On the {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop, Schemion check-called a bet worth 4,700 before the duo ended up checking the {8-Diamonds} turn and {8-Clubs} river.

Schemion flipped over his {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Iliakos had {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} for the slightly better pair. Both looked at each other, started laughing and shook hands. Iliakis has more than two times the average, whereas Schemion dropped back down to just the average in the penultimate level of the day.

Lodden's Stacked Dented

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden's stack is down after dinner break. In a recent hand, a player under the gun raised to 1,200 before the player on the button called. Lodden three-bet the action to 4,600. The player under the gun tanked for a minute before he laid out a four-bet to 11,000. The player on the button quickly got out of the way.

Lodden shuffled chips for a few minutes before also folding, leaving him with a stack around 57,000 after the hand.

On other tables, Charlie Carrel's stack is down to 24,000 while Isaac Haxton's stack remains steady at 25,000.

Tough Final EPT Continues for ElkY

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier bubbled the €50,000 Super High Roller, and his tough run at the final European Poker Tour stop continued with a fast elimination here on Day 1a of the Main Event. ElkY jammed 9,500 in from under the gun with {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and saw an opponent iso-shove for a bit more a few seats over. That player showed down {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}, and the Team PokerStars Pro couldn't find a third eight to survive.

Carrel's Stack Grows Without a Flop

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Earlier in the day, Charlie Carrel snagged second place in the EPT Prague Super High Roller for €535,250. Instead of celebrating his near-win, Carrel instead quickly joined the Day 1a field of the EPT Prague Main Event.

Carrel was off to a slow start with about half his opening stack at the dinner break. However, with about 10,000 already in the pot, he declared all-in from the small blind. The player on the button asked him if he had sixes, to which he replied he didn't. His opponent tanked for a short while before folding his hand and Carrel's stack grew to 34,500.
