Petrushevskii Busts O'Neill and Blain

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Dermot Blain
Dermot Blain

Ramin Hajiyev opened to 12,000 and short stack Padraig O'Neill pushed for 45,000. Sergei Petrushevskii reshoved all in from the cutoff and the action folded to Dermot Blain in the small blind, who called for his last 255,000. Blain almost turned over his cards, but Hajiyev said "wait, I am still in the hand. I am 99% sure it is a fold, but have to check again," then folded.

Padraig O'Neill: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Dermot Blain: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Sergei Petrushevskii: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The flop fell {J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} improved Petrushevskii to a set, and the {2-Clubs} turn and {9-Hearts} river were both bricks to knock out two Irishman at once. Petrushevskii joined the big stacks as a result after starting Day 2 in the middle of the pack.

Peters Crushing Early

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

David Peters has had quite the start to his Day 3, turning his 300,000 or so into over 600,000. He just scooped a pot against fellow big stack Oleg Vasylchenko when the latter three-bet preflop and then bet 27,000 into a pot of about 70,000 after {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Spades} hit. Peters called and both checked the {9-Spades} turn to see the {5-Hearts} river. Vasylchenko checked and folded immediately to a Peters bet of 45,000.

Chehade and Guilbert Double

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

After an under-the-gun raise by Matas Cimbolas, Georges Chehade shoved for 52,500 from the button and Cimbolas called with {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. Chehade had the dominating {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} and the {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{Q-Spades} board changed nothing.

Johan Guilbert also doubled. After a raise by the Frenchman to 12,000 and the three-bet by Yang Zhang to 32,000, Guilbert shoved for 76,500 with {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. Zhang called with {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, but the board of {3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{J-Spades} was no threat for the Frenchman.

One Elimination and Two Doubles

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Hand 1

Konstantin Bucherl raised from the button and Julian Herold pushed from the big blind. Bucherl called it off with the {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for around 85,000 and Herold had that dominated with {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. The board came {5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Bucherl was eliminated.

Hand 2

One hand later, the flop showed {K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Mihai Manole checked in the big blind. Qinnan Wei bet 11,000 on the button and Manole check-raised all in for 48,000. Wei eventually called with the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} to see Manole turn over {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}. The {8-Spades} turn and {4-Diamonds} river blanked and Manole doubled.

Hand 3

Wei was all in for 124,500 preflop with {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Herold put him at risk with {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. The board of {J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Spades} confirmed the better hand preflop and Wei doubled.

Vlachakis Sucks Out and Doubles Against Obreshkov

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Alexandros Vlachakis shoved all-in from early position for 82,000. After a couple of players tanked and folded the action was on Stoyan Obreshkov on the button who was asking Caufman Talley, who was in the small blind how many chips he had, which was around 280,000.

Obreshokov tanked a little more before he also declared himself to be all in. Both players in the blinds quickly folded, which brought the action heads-up to the flop.

Vlachakis: {A-}{J-}
Obreshokov: {A-}{K-}

Obreshokov was ahead before the flop and also after the flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. However, Obreshokov was only drawing to a chop on the turn when the {k-Diamonds} gave him top pair and his opponent a nut straight. The {5-Clubs} completed the board and Vlachakis survived the hand and his stack moved to 172,000. Obreshkov's stack took about a 20 percent dent and is down to around 415,000 after the hand.
