Tuna Wins Some With Kings

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Two players checked to Vladimir Rosliakov on {7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and he bet 18,800 from the cutoff. Only Akin Tuna, from under the gun, called. Tuna check-called a further 25,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn and both players checked the {5-Spades} river.

Tuna showed {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Rosliakov couldn't beat it.

Helppi Eliminates Riess

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ryan Riess put his last 7,000 in and action folded to Juha Helppi in the big blind. He looked at his cards then casually dropped in a chip and turned over {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}, drawing a few chuckles. Riess held {q-Spades}{9-Spades} and was dead on the turn as {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs} hit the felt.

Stokkan Eliminated

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Preben Stokkan
Preben Stokkan

Preben Stokkan finally fell, although it took a bad beat to get him to the door. He shoved over an open by Matthias Eibinger for about 27,000 and Eibinger put him at risk with {a-Spades}{2-Spades}. Stokkan had {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and saw bad news as {3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flopped. The {7-Hearts} turn gave Stokkan a decent shot with a flush draw but a {5-Spades} ended his run of all-ins.

At another table, Sam Greenwood had to ship a huge double to Juha Helppi, who hit a gutshot straight on the river with {9-}{8-}, but the players are now redrawing for the last two tables so we'll bring a full report on the seats and chip counts momentarily.

Castro's Turn to Dub

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Preben Stokkan dropped to 1-2 in his series of all-in pots as this time he called the shove of Guenter Castro, who jammed with {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for about 20,000 when Stokkan woke up with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} in the big blind. The sevens held up on the {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} runout.

Stokkan Doubles Through Eibinger

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Matthias Eibinger opened in the cutoff and faced a shove worth 20,800 by neighbor Preben Stokkan. Eibinger thought a bit and called with {a-Clubs}{5-Spades} but was dominated by {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. The board ran out {5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Stokkan held on to double.

Dimov Doubles Through Stokkan

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

After flatting a raise preflop on the button, Preben Stokkan bet a {7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop and Ognyan Dimov, the preflop opener, shoved all in for 21,800. Stokkan called but wasn't thrilled, turning over {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a draw. Dimov had a slight edge with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and the {j-Clubs} turn and {k-Hearts} river enabled him to double.
