Kisacikoglu Returns the Favour

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu limped from middle position and Charlie Carrel called in the cutoff. Pavel Plesuv and Michael Addamo also joined the party from the blinds.

The four all checked the {2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop. The {k-Clubs} turn was checked to Carrel who bet 55,000. Plesuv folded, with Addamo and Kisacikoglu calling.

The river was the {5-Spades}. Again it checked to Carrel who bet 100,000. Addamo used two time extensions before folding, before Kisacikoglu called.

Carrel showed {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} but tapped the table when Kisacikoglu showed {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

Carrel Bests Kisacikoglu

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

After two hands in a row where Steve O'Dwyer raised Orpen Kisacikoglu out of the pot, Kisacikoglu limped into a pot again and Charlie Carrel checked in his big blind.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Carrel check-called 20,000. The turn was the {9-Spades} and both players checked. Carrel then bet 54,000 on the {5-Clubs} river and Kisacikoglu eventually folded.

Carrel open-mucked {2-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and took down the pot.

Dinner Break

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Here are the counts for the final nine players as they head on a 75-minute dinner break. When they return the blinds will be 8,000/16,000.

Plesuv Chips Up Through Carrel

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer limped in the hijack, and Charlie Carrel followed suit on the button. Pavel Plesuv checked his big blind and the three saw a {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop.

It checked to Carrel who bet 30,000. Plesuv check-raised to 80,000, O'Dwyer quickly mucked and Carrel called.

The turn was the {2-Spades}. Plesuv used one time extension before moving all in, and Carrel quickly folded.

Riess Uses All Nine of His Time Bank Cards in Pot Against O'Dwyer

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

At the start of the tournament, all players received six time bank cards, each good for a 30-second time extension when their initial 30 seconds would run out. Upon reaching the final table, all players received three more for nine total.

Ryan Riess hadn't used any of them so far this event. That just changed in a big hand against Steve O'Dwyer.

Riess, for the fourth hand in a row, opened from middle position for 25,000. Big blind Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 100,000 even and Riess used his first time bank card before he decided to call.

O'Dwyer would triple barrel; betting 56,000 on the {K-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, 92,000 on the {6-Spades} turn, and all in for effectively 186,000 on the {7-Clubs} river. Riess called rather quickly on both the flop and turn but needed some more time on the river. He used all of his eight remaining time bank cards before he eventually reluctantly folded.

O'Dwyer just sat there with a stoic look, and silently gathered the chips after Riess' fold.
