Small Pot for Treccarichi

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Walter Treccarichi
Walter Treccarichi

Walter Treccarichi raised from middle position to 700 and he was called by Gabriele Lepore from the button and Jan Bednar from the big blind.

The flop was {A-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Bednar checked to Treccarichi. He continued his preflop aggression with a bet of 1,100 and that was enough to make both of his opponents fold.

Treccarichi finished fifth in the €1,100 EPT National earlier this week, winning himself €89,000.

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Jaime Staples, pictured in an earlier event.

Jaime Staples opened for 800 in middle position and got calls from the cutoff and small blind. Action checked to the cutoff on {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and he bet 1,500. Julien Pieffet called, as did Staples. The {10-Spades} turn got checked through and the river was a {5-Hearts}. Pieffet checked and Staples bet 5,500. The cutoff mucked but Pieffet shoved all in for 18,800.

This caused Staples to put his head in his hands but he called in short order.

"Flush," Pieffet said, showing {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for the nuts.

Staples revealed he also had a flush and a strong one: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Noubarian Versus Zuzaku

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

The flop was {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Majid Ejlal Noubarian checked from early position to Florim Zuzaku. Zuzaku bet from the hijack and he put 1,200 in the middle. Noubarian called.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Noubarian checked again and Zuzaku put in a bet of 1,500. Noubarian min-raised to 3,000 and Zuzaku called.

The {Q-Hearts} river completed the board and Noubarian bet 2,300. Zuzaku called within a couple of seconds.

Noubarian showed {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, but that was not good enough against the {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} of Zuzaku.

Moshe Wins One, Loses One

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Asi Moshe bet 6,600 into a pot of about 12,000 from under the gun on a board of {3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. His opponent on the right took some thinking time but released his cards.

The next hand, Moshe found himself on the turn, this time out of position and facing aggression. The cutoff had bet 3,500, about half pot, on {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Moshe called and the river was the {q-Clubs}. The bracelet winner checked and this time tank-folded to 6,500.
