Gary Hasson Bubbles the High Roller

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Gary Hasson
Gary Hasson

Orpen Kisacikoglu made it 16,000 to go first to act and Gary Hasson called out of the big blind, Kisacikoglu glanced over at the stack of his opponent and they proceeded to a flop of {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Hasson moved all in for around 95,000 and Kisacikoglu called with the superior stack.

Gary Hasson: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

The {3-Diamonds} on the turn immediately left Hasson drawing dead and the bubble was burst, the {4-Clubs} river was a mere formality.

Chidwick Eliminated; Money Bubble Reached

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

It folded Bahram Chobineh in the small blind who limped. "It's nothing personal," said Filipe Oliveira who moved all in. Chobineh folded and Oliveira showed {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}

The very next hand it folded to Oliveira, this time in the small blind, who took a look at Chidwick's stack before moving all in. Chidwick snap-called, turning over {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Oliveira had live cards with {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} but a queen on the {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} turned the tables on the Brit. The {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} runout didn't help him and he was eliminated.

That brings the tournament down to its final 18 players, with only 17 guaranteed a €18,900 payout.

Chobineh Leaves Chidwick Short; Katz Doubles Through Sammartino

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Bahram Chobineh
Bahram Chobineh

On the three-way flop of {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Bahram Chobineh checked in the big blind and Stephen Chidwick bet 15,000, which Joao Vieira from one seat over and Chobineh both called. On the {10-Clubs} turn, the same action repeated for 35,000 total and the {3-Clubs} appeared on the river.

Chobineh checked once more and Chidwick bet 80,000, which forced out Vieira. Chobineh, however, had other plans and check-raised to 260,000. Chidwick called and was shown {5-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a full house by Chobineh, who moved up to almost one million in chips.

At the same time over on table one, Dario Sammartino jammed the {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} river into Cary Katz and the latter snap-called for his last 88,000. Sammartino was caught bluffing with {K-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Katz doubled with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the nut straight.

Astedt Jams At the Wrong Time

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Niklas Astedt
Niklas Astedt

Niklas Astedt limped in from the small blind and Mustapha Kanit raised it up to 20,000 in the big blind. Astedt moved all in and Kanit asked for his stack size.

"Do you have around 160?" Kanit inquired and Astedt nodded. Kanit then tossed in a single chip for the call and both players tabled suited aces.

Niklas Astedt: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Mustapha Kanit: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board of {Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} ensured that the kicker played and Astedt was eliminated. Below are the chip counts of all other remaining players over on table three.

Sammartino Bests Lehto

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Dario Sammartino
Dario Sammartino

Kai Lehto raised to 13,000 and Dario Sammartino called.

The pair checked the {9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Lehto check-called 18,000 on the {j-Clubs} turn. The river was the {2-Diamonds}. Lehto checked and Sammartino bet 36,000. Lehto called.

Sammartino reluctantly turned over {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for top pair, but perhaps fearing the worst. Luckily for him, Lehto released his cards into the muck and the Italian took down the pot.

Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

First to act, David Peters made it 11,000 to go and Joao Vieira on the button three-bet to 36,500. Peters then four-bet to 86,000 and Vieira moved all in, which Peters called in a heartbeat.

Joao Vieira: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
David Peters: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board of {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} let Vieira double for 233,000 and Peters was left with just two big blinds, those chips vanished in the next hand against Mustapha Kanit.

Smith Eliminated by Chobineh

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

On the heads-up flop of {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Bahram Chobineh bet 20,000 in the hijack and Dan Smith in the cutoff opted to use one time bank before announcing "all in for 59,000." Chobineh snap-called and the cards were turned over.

Dan Smith: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Bahram Chobineh: {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Smith had some outs to avoid the elimination, but neither the {8-Clubs} turn nor the {10-Clubs} on the river were among them.

"Great playing with you," Chobineh said in table chat and Smith replied with a "it was gun, good luck everyone."

Mateos More Than Doubles; Four Tables Remain

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Within quick succession, Sam Greenwood, Wei Zhao and Simon Mattsson have all been eliminated on separate tables.

Zhao open-shoved for 29,500 first to act and Adrian Mateos reraised all in from one seat over for 90,500. Kenny Hallaert asked for a count and moved all in over the top for more than 200,000, which forced out everyone else at the table.

Wei Zhao: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Adrian Mateos: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Kenny Hallaert: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

"I would say keep it low," Hallaert joked in table chat just before the flop of {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} improved Mateos to a pair of aces. The {4-Clubs} turn left Zhao drawing dead, and the {A-Diamonds} on the river ensured the double up of Mateos through Hallaert.

Bicknell Loses Flip to Astedt

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Kristen Bicknell and Niklas Astedt
Kristen Bicknell and Niklas Astedt

Kristen Bicknell raised to 6,000 and Niklas Astedt three-bet to 15,000 from one seat over. Bicknell moved all in for what appeared to be 95,000 and Astedt called to create the following showdown.

Kristen Bicknell: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Niklas Astedt: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop gave Astedt additional outs with a gutshot and he immediately got there on the {10-Hearts} turn to leave Bicknell drawing dead, making the {K-Clubs} river a formality. Astedt took over the lead on his table, but Dario Sammartino and Ivan Luca are not far behind.
