Last year, the PokerStars Championship National drew 4,557 runners, setting a new record for largest PokerStars tournament ever at the time. The biggest National might become even bigger as Day 1d has already drawn 829 runners, putting the current total number of players at 4,335.
It's the space that's being the limited factor, as hundreds of poker enthusiasts are waiting in the wings as alternate to claim a spot in the last flight of the day. Every table and chair in the room is currently fully occupied.

The board was down , and Kalidou Sow had decided to raise Roland Chassing's river bet by moving all in. Chassing had put 6,500 into the middle and left himself with 25,000 behind. Sow had Chassing covered and put his French compatriot to the test.

A big pot has just occurred in the main tournament room between Xhavit Berisha and Ruben Puras, which has resulted in the latter being left with just 8,000.
A crowd had gathered at the table to witness the hand and were shocked to see the two hands in play.
With the completed board down , Berisha had the all-in triangle in front of him and was having his chips counted. Berisha had for a full house and his opponent Puras, who had called his all in, held for the losing nut flush.
