Kaufman Doubles With Aces

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The board was being revealed when we arrived at the table, and Brian Kaufman had {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} in front of him on the button and was all-in with his opponent Sergei Petrushevskii in the small blind making the call with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

The dealer revealed {k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades}, and although Petrushevskii was given a glimmer of hope to hit his outs, he bricked them all on the river and surrendered half his pot to Kaufman.

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Maurice Hawkins
Maurice Hawkins

The flop was down {k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}, and Maurice Hawkins was under the gun and up against Adil Sbai who was in the big blind. There was around 200,000 already in the pot at this point, and Sbai led with a 120,000 bet. Hawkins raised to 350,000 which was nearly enough to put Sbai all in.

"I'm practically all-in," said Hawkins, "It's pretty clear what I've got" he continued to joke.

"We could have the same hand. I do like you remember that"

Sbai thought through his decision for another minute before the clock was called on him by another player at the table.

"I just can't shut up" laughed Hawkins as he continued to talk to Sbai.

"I know we both got outs, think about that." he continued.

As the tournament director counted down from 30 seconds, Sbai used nearly all his time before he folded.

"Good fold, bro," said Hawkins, before he swooped in the pot to move up to 1.4m.

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Guillaume Diaz got his stack of around 530,000 in preflop from the button and Francisco Benitez, who had three-bet big and was committed, called to put Diaz at risk.

Guillaume Diaz: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Francisco Benitez: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The board came {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Benitez flopped a set to eliminate Diaz.

Two tables over, Sergei Petrushevskii moved all in for 272,000 and Guy Goossens called in the big blind.

Sergei Petrushevskii: {A-Spades}{2-Spades}
Guy Goossens: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

On a board of {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, Petrushevskii paired his deuce on the turn and left Goossens with a mountain to climb.

Former EPT champion Kent Lundmark was all in and at risk with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and [Removed:564] had him easily covered, turning over the {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. The {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop immediately improved [Removed:565] to top pair and he even made two pair with the {9-Spades} turn, the {4-Hearts} on the river was a blank.

Leonardo Patacconi
Leonardo Patacconi

Kees van Brugge was spotted on his way to the payout desk where he joined Leonardo Armino and Georgios Vrakas, and the Dutchman was eliminated in a big pot against Leonardo Patacconi.

Van Brugge had raised from under the gun and picked up two callers. On a flop of {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, van Brugge bet 60,000 into a pot of 150,000 and Patacconi raised to 150,000, which forced out the big blind and resulted in a call from van Brugge. The {2-Clubs} fell on the turn and van Brugge open-shoved with pocket tens, only for Patacconi to snap-call with the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a set.

The {A-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and van Brugge was eliminated.

Hegele Catches Yosifov Bluffing

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The action folded around to Dimitar Yosifov on the button, and he called for 20,000. Jeff Gross was in the small blind and completed, and after Robin Hegele checked his cards in the big blind, he raised to 75,000. Yosifov made the call, and Gross thought for a minute before he let his hand go.

Heads-up to the {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop, both players checked, and Hegele checked again on the {j-Spades} turn. Yosifov bet 90,000 and Hegele called.

Hegele checked once more on the {10-Spades} river and Yosifov bet 100,000. At this point, Hegele went into the tank contemplated his decision. It took the German a couple of minutes to think before he made the call.

Yosifov tabled {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a complete bluff, and Hegele won the pot with {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for a straight.
